Were both the light and dark interiors available on the Blue MM's? I have a Blue one built in early Jan 03, cant' remember the tag's exact date.

Yes, the Blue MMs came with both the Light Flint interior (like mine) and the Charcoal interior.

I spoke to Steve Babcock (the Marauder Project Manager) at MV III last August 2005 and he indicated to me that the Light Flint/Blue was the most rare combination. I estimate about 125 in Light Flint and roughly 203 in the Charcoal. Have never seen "official" breakouts.

Someone want to start a poll? I don't know how to do that. Would be interesting. My DBP has the light flint interior.

There's not enough representation of owner's of any color to do that. Right now total membership on MM.Net only represents less than 25% of all MM owners. Probably only 10% of those are even active.

I did my own Mini-Survey at MV III. The were 3 Blue/Charcoal (60%) and 2 Blue/Light Flint (40%). That parallels what Steve Babcock told me (i.e. less Blue/Light Flint). Apply those percentages to the total Blue production (328) and you get roughly 125 light flint and 203 charcoal. I think this is a conservative estimate and the number of Light Flint may actually be lower --- but I don't think that we will ever know.

There's 6 Blue MMs due at MV IV ..... if this plays out right -- it oughta work out as 3C/3LF or 4C/2LF interiors. I'll be really surprised if more than 3 Light Flint Blue MMs shows up. :D

When I see a blue one, it's usually with light flint.

Mine has the Light Flint interior too. I've only seen two other Blue Marauders and both were also light flint.

I'm kind of surprised that the light flint interior is the rarer of the two interiors.

FWIW mine has a build date of 12/10/2002. I don't know how that plays into the production order of the cars and interiors.

About the time I bought mine, I was able to look at BLues with both the Charcoal and Light Flint interiors. I thought the only difference was the color of the seat leather. I believe the Black floor carpet and Charcoal grey door panels/Dash are the same for all MM's. The Light Flint seats have a dark stitching and the Charcoal seats have a light Stitching. The result for the Light Flint version is sort of a 3 tone interior. Did the Blacks, DTR's or Silver Birchs go both ways as well?

The only blue on charcoal Marauder I have seen is the one sitting in my garage.

Every other blue Marauder I have encountered has had the light flint interior. :puke: ;)

I have seen light flint in DBP, DTR, and SB just not in a Black yet.

I have never seen a Dark Charcoal interior in a Blue or DTR Marauder....
all have been Light Flint Gray.
IMHO Dark Charcoal interior is the "rare bird" for both the Blue and DTR cars.

Gotta Love It!:P

Just saw my first light flint interior yesterday. Local dealership is selling a black 04 MM. The headliner and upper pillars are light flint also, unlike the dark charcoal of my interior. http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/details.aspx?vlotid=327150&adid=5519659
I've met Wesman and I'm pretty sure his blue MM has the dark seats.

Turns out that it is almost exactly the opposite. Just received my Certificate of Limited Production from the Ford Performance Group (FPG) and it provided the official FORD breakout of 2003 Mercury Marauder ...

See production figures below for the different interiors. In 2003 215 out of 328 Blues were LF and 178 LF out of 417 for SB. Blacks were the rarest with the LF interior - only 115 out of 7,093 built. I guess I have a very rare LF Black MM.

When I got my papers from Ford Performance Group they didn't give me any numbers on Int colors. They did tell me It was #5 of 328 with a build date 12/9/02. and I have LF.

When I was looking for mine I looked at a blue with dark int. in OK but is was high miles and rough.

Yup, it does. Daly03 has a dark charcoal interior as well. Beyond that, I think the rest of the Blues Bros. have Light Flint.
