I'm in the Teamsters Union and a few years ago the Sec'y Treaurer of my local got a deal on a Black 03 MM as a company car. As soon as I found out I hounded the union that I wanted it when they sold it off. They get rid of their cars at the 100,000 mile mark. Long story short they forgot about me,I found out last month they sold it. I was told the motor was bad as was the suspension and it needed paint. You sitting down? They sold it for around $1600.00,no,not $16,000.00,$1600.00. Now I don't know how bad it was but I've been told the guy who got it got it all fixed up decent for around $5K.
Now you know why I'm mad as he_ _! Wouldn't you be?

If it sounds too good to be true,...it usually is.
I would bet the farm that the car was abused all to hell and back.
Trust me, there are good clean ones out there.
Keep looking.
Mike.

I know "UncleLar", just talked to him via the land-line. He's one ouf our remote Windy City" owners, and his comments are for real. It's a done deal, and his Union sold ahat Marauder for 16 hundred bucks.
Dayum, I would be angry as Hell too. That Marauder, no matter what was wrong with it, was worth at least 10 large.
Oh well, maybe it will surface again after clean-up mods are complete, still a deal at anything under 10K, eh?
Between Zack and I, we can fix anything Marauder, 'cept frame damage (and I'm working on that). Find a deal, give one of us a call?

Actually in a way you're correct, they had their hands full getting ready to turn our then Local President in for improprieties. The day before they were to file he resigned so everything has been up in the air for some weeks. One thing for sure is our next president won't be driving a new Navigator, they got rid of that right away. They're also going from our old Crown Vics for the BA's and the rest of them and getting the newer smaller Fords.

I went through the same thing when I was a union Boilermaker many years ago.
The BA bought a new Vette as a business car.
That didn't last long...
