Ive been looking at cars for a while now. The current ride is getting a little up there in the miles department and is starting to have a little bit too much personality.
I think the marauder is a car I could enjoy driving. Fairly unique, above average preformace, nice amount of space.
Good thing is, my current ride is paid off and still running, so i dont have any pressure to buy right away.
downside, I dont really want to spend the amount a marauder is going for on the high end of the spectrum.
Any tips on what to look for when buying one of these beasts? I know vaugely about the differences between 300as and bs. and a little about the difference between 03s and 04s. any particular trouble signs that I should watch out for when shopping?
thanks.

I know of a 2003 Marauder, 300A I think, with 99k on the odometer that will be going up for sale in the near future. It's my boss's car.
It's a one-owner Texas car (rust free) and in good condition....not perfect, not flawless, but not trashed out. It has brand new tires, rotors, pads, and shocks.
Asking price is going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $13,500.
Just passing the info a bit early.

As I noted in my comment about cars.com, it usually has 80-100 Marauders listed nationwide (where it asks for distance from your zip code scroll to the bottom and click "all" to see all listings).
Figure those as asking prices, so target 7-10% lower for actual sale prices.
Happy hunting.

I would suggest looking in our Classifieds Section (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/classifieds/) here on MM.net. There are ALWAYS cars listed for sale here, and most are very reasonably priced.

Welcome to the site. Good luck. You won't be disappointed with a Marauder. Early 03's had some paint issues, as well as axel issues. Trying to think of other things and thaqt's it for now.

Looks like a good car sergio but it looks like you are on the far side of MO from me. I think i have a few options closer to home, but if they dont work out I will get back in touch with you.
Next question.
i found this online: http://www.panasonic.com/consumer_electronics/mobile_electronics/default.asp
It looks like a nice head for Ipod controls but crutchfield didnt seem to think it would fit in a marauder. I dont really trust a computer when it comes to trying to fit a stereo into a car like a marauder. So are they right or wrong?

Can someone explain the differences between 300A and 300B cars please? I too am searching for a Marauder, but my purchase won't be made until after Christmas.
