I did a search, but could not find what I was looking for. I remember seeing somewhere on here, that I can still use my Radio steering wheel controls, but I thought I saw that I need some sort of adapter to fit on my deck? Is this true or not? Also, when removing the stock sub/amp setup, should there be anything "special" I should do, I mean, what should I do with that wire that connects the stock sub/amp? I'm running back a full RCA cable from the deck to my new amp, so the stock one will not be needed anymore. Should I just cap it and leave it? Also, not sure if it helps, but my deck is the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X790. http://www.kenwoodusa.com/products/ListProduct.aspx?k1=2&k2=46&k3=172&pr=2358
Thanks in advance!

You'll need the PAC SWI-X adapter for the wheel controls found here:

As for the factory sub, I just left the wire disconnected and ziptied it out of the way.

Or you could like Breadfan did with his subwoofer.

Sully hit it. You will need a radio that uses an infrared remote control and HAS the handheld remote control with it. It is this handheld remote that programs the swix.
It's easy. Comes with instructions.

Just unbolt the sub (4 bolts) and drop the whole assembly. You could also take out the rear deck to remove the bolts, drop the bracket and while it's out, add a layer of 3/8" foam under it to help with rattles.
(all of this asssumes you are using a new amp and Sub)
