Mach 1 vs beefed up late model Camero, with its big cowl hood and tacky exhaust....

Another POS chevy sports car wannabe falls by the wayside, stung by the Mach 1. That Mach is so responsive and runs like a rocket, easily the fastest NA car I have owned. Felt good.....Nuff said.

Sometimes I hate me too! I like having a bench that is 3 or 4 solid fast cars deep, I change my mind on what ride to take more than Marty changes his undies, if he wore undies!

Hey Dave, What have you done to your Mach I?

Have you had a chance to get some 1/4 mile times?

(Is a Twin-Screw S/C in the Mach's future?.... a' la Lidio's Beast)

Joe, my friend, you know me only too well! I have a new aluminum block, 2 actually, and Lid is buiding up a stroker motor with it. On top will be the new Kenne Bell 2.6L blower, running pump gas with a Methanol kit. Lid is thinking around 550-600 at the rear wheels. Even with No NOS he suspects mid 10's at the track. That is just about where his Mach was with just the blower on it, so with the stroker and meth it should be mid 10's.

Right now it runs the quarter mile in 13.1 sec. The automatic benefits from Lidios tranny tune and responds great. Only mods are 4:10s and magnaflow cats and mufflers. Like I said, it is a rocket, the best mustang platform to begin a good build on, with the motor, rear end, automatic. I plan on beating on her some more at the strip this weekend.

SWEET!

Are you giving it the widened OEM rims with P305s for the ultimate sleeper look?
Many a unsuspecting street 'Sap' will fall to the Mach I when she's all done.
Do me a favor, and make sure that you totally EMBARASS as many "800 HP" Supras as you can find....:D

Built, Stroker, Methanol + tune, KB Blowzilla....

Mid to LOW 10s with that list of hardware!

i like my black chrome rims, so i am pondering what to do with the 2 in aluminum strip they will add that will clash with the black chrome. I think that I might have to paint the inside of the rim black so it blends. But yes, it will have to get the 315 rear skins, 305 is to small! Like you, I like thas sleeper look, works for the Marauder and will be sweet on the Mach. I think Lid has a nice package planned for it. It will be fun getting back into an insanely fast mustang again.

I know that someone has done this on their widened rims and it looked pretty cool.

Yes Sir, I most certainly am. You know I take my insanely fast Mustangs very seriously! I feel the itch to go faster than my insanely fast Marauder will go!
