Check For Possible Missing Insulators

Sailmen who is a member and proud 300A owner, came by to visit and enlightened me about something his MM had that mine didn't. Pop your hood and look towards the rear of both wheel well protectors where it practically meet the bulkhead and look for a flap that seals the area and serves as a insulator, water blocker and sound dampner.. I called the dealer and in two days received parts, don't forget to get the plastic snap in buttons that holds them in place....My Grand Marquis even has them......Thanks Sailsmen...........

Thanks for the heads-up, I'm probably missing that part too, with my luck.

Maybe we should all take a week off and do Mercury (Ford) a favor by heading up to St.Thomas and taking over the assembly line for a few days and show 'em how it's supposed to be built...
