I saw a bulletin called "Kleen Wheels" that describes a plastic device that fits inside our wheels that reduces the build-up of dust especially brake dust. Anyone try them?

On my '01 GM LSE, I had the 'Lacey Spoke" 16" wheels, and did purchase brake dust shields for about $45.00. (one pair)
Made of aluminum and directional with louvers stamped into them, they fit quite snug into the ID of the rim, and were held in place with the lug posts/nuts.
These reduced the brake dust on the rims by about 90%!
Considering the wide pattern on the rims that we have, and the low maintenance of keeping the rims clean, these type covers may not look very flattering as it would give the rims an appearance of a solid rim, not a 5-spoke design.

Before you buy these look at the clearance between the outside of the brake caliper nad the inside of your wheel. Most wheels are too close to the brake calipers to enable you to use these shields. I tried to put them on my '97 Tbird and ended up "reshaping" them with a BFH to get them to fit without rubbing. After 2 hours of woork per wheel they looked so badly beat up and I took them off. Just my $0.02.

Two words.
Ceramic pads.

Ceramic pads are hard on rotors, but are *much* better looking than any type of disc brake shield.
IIRC APC makes a disc brake shield with a cross-drilled rotor look to it.
