I was in Birmingham Alabama when I noticed a road block up ahead. I knew I was legit so i wasn't worried at all. I just started preparing everything that the officer would ask for. License, Insurance, Registration..... the usual stuff. I had just received my new insurance card, but I was AWOL. I turned my glove box and center console upside down looking for this little card. Really, I was making myself look very suspicious. The next thing I know, the Officer was at my window. He said, "what you looking for buddy". THats when I go into this story about how I just got a new card and I know its in here but I can't find it. While I was pleading my case, the officer cut me off and said, "Man, I bet these cars ride good. How many horses you got under that hood. Man this is nice." I replied, "Its does Ok" Then he said "Man, I know you got to have insurance riding in something this nice. Have a Nice Day." I got the Dark Toreador Red Marauder.

Philadelipha, Pa, has a zero tolerance policy. Missing a card? Vehicle towed.
Impounded. End of story. That's the way is should be IMHO..

HAHA! Welcome to the easy living club. I guess police like these cars. Seems to work almost as good as another trick that only works in Chicago reguardless of what you drive and it's not a bribe or illegal. :D
Happy driving to you.

you should have more than one card. If not, request more. My company allows cards to be downloaded and printed on a laser printer, for example. Most will fax you a temporary card while real cards are in the mail.
Get at least three.
1 - put one in your wallet behind your driver's license.
2 - put one in the envelope in your glove box with your license tag receipt.
3 - put one in the console, tucked into the binder with your warranty book and owner's manual.
You never want to have to search for the card. It makes LEO's nervous when you are fumbling around the glovebox. If you have an accident, you're gonna be rattled or distracted, and searching for the card will be more difficult. If you are standing at a car rental counter, your car may be inaccessable to you at the time. And if someone borrows your car or takes it for a test hop, they should be told a card is in the console with the owner's manual just in case.

Progressive "Drive" insurance gives you several key ring tags so that you are never without proof of insurance when driving the car.....GOOD idea...huh??

Insurance agents can usually also issue a 'real' card for the company they represent.
