Do you plan on taking your Marauder in the winter as a daily driver?
I plan on it I have winter rims and Bridgestone Blizaks

Yes. Now that I have sold the Kenny Brown #1x, I'm down to my one Marauder, and I just installed my winter tire combo yesterday. I drove it last winter with this combo on the pavement, never had a problem, but have to shut off the traction control over 50 MPH.
Really wish I had a choice, but haven't found a suitable beater yet.

FL can be brutal in the winter time but I think I'm going to tough it out.

I have a F-150 4X2 long bed 1992 with just over 100K all factory power. Just painted last year and it will go anywhere I need to get to.
This year the marauder will enjoy a garage that came with the house Garfield and I just bought:):):)

no ice or snow then yes...otherwise no.
This will be its fifth winter parked. Won't go out unless the snow is gone and it has rained at least once to rid the streets of any salt. There was video taken last weekend of us restriping the Hampton Inn showing another reason why I won't be driving in the rain or snow until I get new tires.:burnout: :D

I drove my Marauder through the last two winters, but have decided to retire it this year. It performed flawlessly with snow tires, but spending hours at the coin op keeping it clean was driving me insane.
I purchased a 1998 Lincoln Continental as my winter beater and so far have been very pleased with it.

Exactly as above. I go in No snow. Actually I'd go in snow if there was NO SALT.
I have 17" winter rims but haven't gotten rubber yet.
An emergency could get the Marauder out of the garage.

The only reason I am "planning" on it is because it is my only car and the wife has hers. Someday I will plan on not driving it - once I can afford a daily driver/commuter car.
I have a set of the 16" CVPI steel wheels that will go on for the second winter with the Pirelli Scorpions that did EXCELLENT last year. Got through everything and anything and never had to add any extra weight in the trunk.

Unfortunately my DTR is my daily driver. I can't justify her sitting while making payments. Ordered studded rear snows yesterday for her. The no stud versions only lasted two seasons here with the hills I have to climb.

I will be driving my "pimped out PT" for the winter. I just got some "moon" hubcaps for it when I take the rims off for the snow.

The PT (with less HP and FWD) will behave better in the slippery stuff anyway. The MM is not a very good winter car.

I feel pretty stupid posting this but then most of my posts have been pretty stupid. The rest have been inane. My dad always said, "consider the source." I drive more in the winter because it is more fun....More horsepower and (Mac) MORE torque. the weather is great and the FruitPunch runs like a ***** ape. It is also a lot more fun to be out and about. The weather has just started to approach perfect for me. You all are going to love Florida in November at MVIV. :2thumbs: Dennis

When I get my S/C I can't wait to "clean my driveway"

Not just on the line, but going down the road, turning, out on the highway. I definitely understand being safe, watching for "black" ice, etc, but I hate getting behind vehicles, esepcially SUV's and trucks out on the highway that are going 40 mph on mostly clear roads. Just learn to watch the road, let of the gas slowly if you encounter ice or snow, and don't jam your brakes on. Also, don't use your cruise control on the highway or interstate in the winter. Just asking for an accident if you hit a patch of ice with the CC on.
I think the MM is a great winter car. Heavy, long wheel base, limited-slip rear end, ABS, TC, and with the right wheels/tires, will go anywhere. I will admit it is NOT a winter car on the stock wheels and tires. I did that one night and never again.

Yes, I'll be driving mine on a daily basis throughout the winter just as I have since 2003. With four snow tires, a Trilogy supercharger, 3,000 RPM stall speed, and 4.56 gears in the rear, it goes just fine in the snow. I kid you not. However, I can certainly relate to ADE1000's comment about it being very challenging to keep it clean in the winter. In fact, during the weeks when the weather is nasty, I don't even try to. It's simply impossible. But this car is my workhorse. It does it all.

Its my daily Driver all four seasons. I always try to aviod driving it in the snow. I usually bank on school being canceled. However, It gets dirty in a hurry with the salt so prettymuch everytime it gets a layer of salt on it i go out with a sponge and bucket of warm water and get the stuff off. My neighbors think im absolutely nuts but its worth it!

I would have, but the MM is gone and has been since March. So, if anyone is interested in a set of 16" ford rims with winter tires and full wheel covers, let me know. May be able to deliver the good depending on the distance to be traveled. Price to be determined. They set was used for 3 years!

No way. It's only seen rain twice, and thats been for both Maraudervilles. I wouldn't think of driving it in the winter. Ive owned it over 2 1/2 years, and have 9500 miles.
The winters of northeast ohio are brutal. Lake Effect snow and salt. No thanks.

Just bought the 16" steelies and the Winterforce tires for the winter off ebay. Need to get it oil sprayed before too long as well to protect it from the salt. It should be better than the 5.0 Mustang! I just need the P71 center caps to top it all off! I think those caps also came on some Rangers but they all seem to have different part numbers, but look the same.

No.
I got my MM last year from Alberta, with a brand new full set of winter rims and blizzacks. I drove it from the railway station to its new home into my garage (60 miles) and decided that it would stay there till summer.
Main reasons are that, first, I am sure I would damage the MM on the bad and dirty winter Quebec roads, second, I would not enjoy spending my time in trying to keep on the road a car which, while extremely brilliant in summer, is NOT a rally car.
I will drive my MGM LSE with much more pleasure, with a set of tires with studs. The new set of rims and blizzack's is available if somebody wants to buy them...
