It probably is misfiring check plugs and coils..
run engine in the dark with covers of and look for sparks
make sure coils are tight on plugs..
The codes are prob. symptoms of the rough running engine.
It is common for other codes to occur without a misfire
code occurs..clear codes and run vehicle and see if misfire
code appears it will tell you which cylinder is at fault..

The 0552 code is for your power steering pressure sensor.
The 0153 code is for your bank 2 upstream O2 sensor having a slow response.
Both can be thrown because of damaged wiring, and if they happened together, I'd start looking for damaged harnesses under the car in these areas.
The O2 code can also be from a damaged sensor, or an exhaust leak on that side of the motor.
The P1000 code just means the OBDII hasn't completed a full system check- it's a normal code found on most vehicles. It doesn't set a light and will usually always be there.
Hope this helps.

A misfire can dump fuel into the exhaust causing
irregular O2 readings first code..
and irratic or low idle speed doesn't allow the P/S
pump to build sufficient pressure second code..
My 2cents..
Note: I could always be wrong.
Codes do not always show the exact problem.
the can be caused by another problem.
IE. blown fuses, bad wiring low voltages
bad fuel pumps..
Check the basics first-IE the mis-fire.
wet,loose or damaged coils.bad plugs
blown fuses.Altenator voltage.
I'm not sure but bank two should be
the drivers side cylinders.I will have to
check a manual. Some one speak up if this i wrong..

Thanks to everyone for the help.
Going to look for an exhaust leak on the drivers side.
I have had Kooks Header installation problems before. On the first hard burnout the driverside collector gasket blew out. Then the check engine light went on for the O2 sensor. BTW when I picked up the car Kooks had neglected to plug in the AC wire harness. I drove home to Connecticut in 100 degree weather with no AC.
The complete system was installed by Kooks in July 2006. I drove out to Bayshore Long Island to get the job done right. I guess, that was a mistake.
Would an exhaust leak make the car run rough?
Thanks again,
Carl

Exhaust leaks don't generally effect the engine
in any significant way..it may alter the o2
reading a bit, changing your fuel mileage..
