You might fare better selling them on a Mustang site or Crownvic.net since Marauder's have 3.55's stock, you're market here is kinda slim, bascially people in need of a replacement part or someone with 4.10's that sold their 3.55's and want to revert back...
3.55's are a hot commodity in other cars though, especially 'stangs.
BTW, do you feel these are worth more than a new set of FRPP gears because they are OEM Grade A quality? It's a known fact that OEM gears are a better cut than racing gears to help ensure quiet operation.
What do OEM gears cost from Ford (non racing) new?
Kinda curious what folks think, I've got a box with my OEM 3.55's at home.
Good luck on the sale!

Is it a good thing to posts a Thread about an item listed in the Classifieds? Isn't that kind of defeating the purpose of the Classified Section???

It's like posting a flyer in your neighborhood in addition to posting an ad in the news paper for lets say a yard sale....just to make sure some one sees it....JMHO....If I am not supposed to do that I will refrain....

I called on this particular part number to the dealership and cost was almost $400.00. I am kind of curious what people think as well....

I'm not busting your balls, just a question.
Whenever I list somehing in the Classifieds, I add a link to it in my Signature. That way, it appears in EVERY SINGLE POST I have ever made :D , not just one ;)

400 is the usual cost to install the gears. the gears them selves are ~160 , not sure about OEM's being better than FRPP.

I specifically asked the dealership if it was just for the part.....installation was not included. I will call two more dealerships today just to be sure on the price

ha Thats your problem! Dont call the dealerships, they way over charge. Maybe theres a specific reason you want to go through the dealer but Id try Reinhart, or Wes @ innovative interceptors, or Jegs, OR pick up a MM & FF and peruse the adds.

No, there is a big price difference between OEM and aftermarket gearsets.
The gears he has are not Ford Racing gears, they are FoMoCo OEM quality gears.
There is a difference, mainly in the quality of the cut in the gears. The OEMs are built better to ensure silent operation throughout the life of the car. The racing gears are cheaper, and the cut is a bit more rough. The strength is pretty similar but the rougher cut makes them cheaper to produce and in retrun occasionally if not setup right they can whine or will begine to whine a bit as the mileage piles up on them.
I'm sure the quality difference is debatable, I don't think there are hard facts as to the manufacturing step of FRPP gears vs. OEM FoMoCo gearsets. But that in part is why there is such a price disparity.
Don't get me wrong, FRPP gears are great, but true OEM's are supposedly higher quality in terms of the gear's "fit and finish".
