TODAY, ONE OF THE FEW TIMES I DRIVE M/M IN RAIN.

SO I PRESS THE TRACTION CONTROL BUTTON, LITES UP, I THINK I'M TURNING IT ON ???????

I ALSO NOTICE THAT THE HEADLIGHTS COME ON AUTOMATICALLY W/ MY WIPERS ON.

I GET HOME, TAKE THE OWNERS MANUAL OUT TO READ UP ON THE WIPERS.
THEN PAGE TO TRACTION CONTROL & READ (PG.#129) :
"THE T/C SYSTEM WILL BE ON EVERY TIME YOU TURN THE IGNITION ON, UNTIL YOU DEACTIVATE IT..........
"THE LITE STAYS ON WHEN IT IS DISABLED BY PUSHING THE BUTTON........:baaa:

I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS BEEN POWER BRAKING OR STRAIGHT OUT TRYING TO BREAK THE TIRES LOOSE W/ T/C ON !!!!!!

FESS UP, I'LL FEEL BETTER.

That's the law in some states.
In New York wipers on = Headlights On.

Headlights on in the rain and Traction Control...Two areas where Ford felt we are too stupid to act responsibility on our own behalf.

Well... at least Ford lets us turn it off... some T/C systems don't come with a switch. You can call me a weenie, but having spent tens of tousands of miles in a 5.0 five-speed, I don't mine if my horsepower has a harness. My wife is an excellent driver, but throw two screaming kids into the car and give her a busy wet intersection, and I could easily understand a spontaneous 180!

Now, if I couldn't turn it off it would be a different story!

Ahh it didn't appear to be that bad. If it was as bad as you first described it I'm sure you felt like an idiot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looked like you got the wheels spinning, then they would stop and you would have to hit it again, I couldn't tell, if so was that the Tc in action?

Yeah, the wheels will spin - for a second or two. Then I clicked the TC button and it was game on. :burnout:

I just don't see how a 12.4 run with a 12.4 dial in after a poor burnout is all that embarassing. :dunno:

Ron still gets the 'jokes on me' award of the day.:P

Nothing but love Ron. ;)

It was the TC on burnout attempt. The 12.4 run made it ok :D

The radio volume will go up and down with speed on the Marauder. To turn it on hold the power button in for about 3 seconds.

Glad you enjoyed it. Anything to help.

Truth is, I automatically clicky the TC and OD off everytime I get in the car. They are OFF unless I want them ON. This builds muscle memory so when it is important to remember to have them off, they will be. So far this little trick has been working.
