I seen a black 04 Marauder today with light flint interior. I thought that all black MM came with the dark grey interior.
First Black MM I seen with this color combo...

The light flint interiors with the black MM are fairly rare - they did not make very many. Somewhere I read that combo was only made in the hundreds. The interior is definitely cooler, but I bought a complete black interior just to say I got one.

I 'ordered' a 2004 Marauder in Slidell, LA thinking my contract there would last long enough for me to take delivery and then put enough miles on the new car to be able to register it in CA.
I ordered the light flint interior with black exterior paint.
The MM I bought later in CA has the charcoal colored interior. I really don't regret it, but the light flint interior would be nice and, of course, much more rare.
Regards,
Dave

I better take better care of my interior now! I wanted the same interior color as my vic so light flint it was for the MM.

The two Marauder colors that I've never actually seen in real life are: 1) 2003 blue, and 2) 2004 black with the Light Flynt interior. I've only seen pictures of them. I have a 2004 Marauder that is Dark Toreador Red with the Light Flynt interior, and I thought mine was rare. But, they only built 328 Marauders with the Blue paint. My own research shows only 147 Light Flynt and black 2004's! Very rare indeed! My car is only 1 of 398 cars with my color combination.

The (Larry) Flynt interior would be spotted and stained unlike the Flint...

I bought my Marauder used so I couldn't be as picky about the interior color. Just wanted to get one in good shape. Anyway, at first I didn't think I would like the light flint but it really looks good in person.
Oh, and my Marauder is 2003 Black Exterior.

First time I seen the light flint interior and it looked real nice. The MM I seen last week was traveling on Route 1 in NJ. The MM had PA Plates...anyone here??

The Light Flint interior does look sharp....
but good luck in keeping it CLEAN!
Gotta Love It!:pimp:
Anyone know how many of the '03 silver cars had Light Flint interior?

Mine has the light flint..really just dumb luck, since I knew very little about Marauders, including production numbers for options, when I bought it last year-just happened to grab this one. If it had the black, I would had bought it anyway.
I like the contrast to it, and the dash and door panel trim really accentuate it nicely..

The dark flint interiors look nice against a black car, and with silver birch, but I didn't really care for it
in the DTR we were considering.
The light flint was one of the reasons I decided to by our '03. That, and it's Blue. Still my favorite MM
color combination by far. Being 1 of 328 is just icing on the cake...

Out of the 328 Blues, wonder how many were light flint? I have one,but it seems all the other ones I see are light flint.
By the way I have a 300b Black with light flint w/22K miles on it that has never been outside in the rain since I bought it new. I may have to let it go in a while. I am trying to get a friend interested in it..

At MV III, Steve Babcock indicated that the Blue MM with Light Flint was the most rare. However, a poll of MM.net members indicates that Blue/Light Flint is about 2 to 1 over Blue/Charcoal. >>>>http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=30678&highlight=blue+interior
So, this might explain why you see more of the light flint version.
Bottom Line on this is .... We don't really have a clue.
I have assumed 40% of 328 with Light Flint (i.e. about 130). Of course, I could be wrong and probably am. ;)

I think the 147 was black/light flint, not silver. I personally would also like to know the numbers on the '03 silver birch/light flint, as that is what I have.

Yes, I would too. That's the other one in the garage. I bet Ford could tell us by checking the computer........

Any idea how many of those had a factory moonroof? The one for sale down the street does. http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/details.aspx?vlotid=327150&adid=5519659
I have a 2003 Black Marauder that I ordered with a light flint interior ,build date was 2/03,but I waited almost 5 months for it Currently has 10,000 miles on it and the only mods I have done are the FORD GT coil covers.
I was dissapointed that it did not come with the map pocket or the fuel door release. But all in all it's a great machine.

The light Flint must be cool cuz it won't fade like black will. I hate how the back window sills on black cars turn grey from the sun coming in. Glad I have the tint

Yeah, I'm here, Jim... Just a little slow catching up on the forum. Are you referring to this ol' thing?

I do have the flint interior, but I originally wanted the charcoal. I bought mine in May of '04, and the dealer was only getting two black ones in, both flint. In retrospect, I'm glad I got the lighter interior, here in Florida, so that worked out well. I also wanted the factory moonroof, but there were no Marauders with one of those coming in, and I let them talk me into an aftermarket one (which they threw in as part of the deal). That didn't turn out so well--although it's installed well, looks nice, and has never leaked, the wind noise is very annoying, but supposedly "normal." As a result, I will never have another after-market moonroof, and honestly, I'll probably never bother with a moonroof again at all...
