Not sure what you mean by wavy. Can you attach a pic? Some of our rear bumpers sag a little because the inside of the bumper cover acts like a balloon. I purchased a ProGard skid plate from Reinhart Automotive. This helps enclose that area to keep it from catching air.

I've seen what he's talking about (behind the rear wheels, below the fender to the end of the car). May be subject to heat or the span the bumper cover has between the rear wheel and the corner of the bumper.

I don't thinks it's all that reinforced behind there. Seen a wave or 2 on my car depending on the angle. I think it's just because of the size of the cover and the material it's made of.

Could be some light hits doing it (putting stress on the cover). I've seen some spider cracks in my paint. I guess if I put 2 and 2 together I may have a light hit or two in my history (like somebody pulling in too close to me in a parking spot), and the cover is a little stressed causing the waviness.

I have a 1983 Capri and the front end cover (below the headlamp assy's and grill) gets a little wavy on top of the "bumper" molded into it if the sun is a little warm that day...

I've had three MMs with this problem, I've learned to ignore it. I believe it's just the nature of the material used.

There is a fix that involes add a bracket to the underneath of the bumper to solve the issue of the sag and wave. I will post more details soon watch for a new thread in the garage.

I have the wave.

If your coverage will replace it, do it.

Otherwise....join the masses.;)

i have that problem too behind the wheels. i have the progaurd on it but it doesnt help me on the sides of the car. i was thinking of taking a thin but strong flat piece of metal maybe 18" long and bonding it to the inside of the bumper cover. not sure if it wood work but its worth a shot
