Well, took Max to the track, as I was part of a private rental day at Atco Raceway in NJ this past Tuesday.

Had some issues with the car shutting down at the top of the track, so I didn't get to make a full 100% pass. Best of the day was just a 12.1@110, shutting down right after the 1000ft. The car should easily go low 11s, once I get this figured out. Unfortunately, I did not bring the equipment to the track with me that I needed to try to diag the problem there.

On a good note, the car launches insane. Everyone said I was pulling the front wheels. All I am running is is the Hoosier QTPs and the Metco control arms. Of course, the 600 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels off idle helps too :D.

The best part, is that I was the ONLY person there out of 16 cars, that drove to the track from NY. Everyone else trailered. There were two Mustangs with broken rears, one with a broken trans, one 03 Cobra with broken half shaft, a Camaro with a broken driveshaft, and a Camaro with a broken clutch (we definitely can't say the track wasn't hooking ;)). But the ole 155k mile Interceptor had no drivetrain issues and was pulling the wheels at 4000 lbs. :bows:

Here are a few pics from one of the guys who was there. I will post more as I get them from other people. There might be some video as well.

I didn't have my weatherstation with me, and they don't put up that info on track rental days. It was in the high 50s for temp. The humidity was most likely in the 15-20% range in the early part of the day, and probably went past 50% as the day went on. I have no idea what the BP was, and that's the most important of the three.

That is the cats behind. Congrats on the concept and execution of your project. Wish I could have been there. The Mad Max when you finish sorting it out will be faster than any Marauder so far. Dennis:2thumbs:

Nothing special really. I had my landlord (Biltron converters) build up a stock converter for me. Trans is a fresh rebuilt 4R70 with some Jerry mods to it. Using the short ouput shaft, but with the long tail housing and short stock CVPI aluminum driveshaft. Stock rear with stock 3.55s and traction lok. Metco control arms, steel 16x8 rims, Hooiser QTPs. That's it.

Excellent Sal! I love the wrinkle wall shots!
You can see that the fronts are just coming off of the ground - do you know of any more Lightning motors laying around? I'm starting to like the hole in the hood concept!

WTG Sal! Low 11's is a do-able goal but I think you may even squeeze a high ten once you get the bugs worked out.
Looking forward to the vid

Nice Job Sal!
What was your 60' time?
