For those needing new tires...the Tirerack has fronts and rears in stock. Had a flat last night, had to pick up two. Fronts are going for $79 and rears $139.

I just bought a set of p225/60zr/16 michelin pilot xgt z4's for my 97 thunderbird sport from tire rack got a great deal. last year my oem rears cost 79.00 at tire rack for the marauder.

Thanks for the "heads-up" on the availabilty of the OEM rears. I have been thinking about the rear wear for a couple weeks. They have about 17,000 on them and are getting thin on the inside tread (about 3 MM). It's my fault 'cause I haven't been watching the pressures as closely as I should. I can probably squeek 20,000 out of this set of rears ... but I'll just replace 'em a little earlier than planned.

Anyway, the the trip to Marauderville IV and Orlando, FL coming up next week, I decided to swap the rear shoes. New rear tires go on this Friday. Now I feel much better about the trip. :D

I put new OEM ones on all four corners in August, and they wanted to know the car's VIN. The front alignment was a little off and it was eating the inside tread, or I might have gone one more inspection cycle, but the back ones ... Lessee, 4 tires, front end alignment, new windshield ...I dropped some serious coin, that day. ;)

That's why I do my tires only two at a time. Seems much cheaper that way. Fronts on Thursday, Rears on Friday. I am saving lotsa $. ;)

Orders my rears yesterday...nice rubber waiting with the neighbor when I got home. Getting put on tomorrow. Exhaust install is on hold until the tips and x-Pipe tubing comes back. Just a few small isses with the kit. Scott at stainless was on point and the customer service was first rate.
