does anyone know of or have replaced their tires with anything other than the original G-force? I love the tires but hey they are quiet expensive for a set. it seems to me they wear to fast, granted when i first got the car i did my share of burnouts and hard cornering so when i bought the next set i took it easy but even still i'm buying another new set in less than ten months.:depress: any suggestions?

While I think that the comment made about your car was rather cold, your reaction to it is odd. Since when does somebody prefer to be insulted then having a car (any car) get insulted?

In my time, people allowed themselves to be insulted but not their Mother or other family members. THAT was grossing the line. Now, you apply the same attitude to your GM? I hope that you were joking.

Get real buddy, you GM is just a car just like any MM.

Three things you dont insult ....Family, Friends, and my car. ME, you can insult all day long - I'll simply laugh in your face. Since i am 23 years old i always get ragged on by my friends. "So what happened your grandfather died? Did you pick up your car in an estate sale??"

So thus my reaction. And no, i am not joking.

FYI, i never said anything about insulting family members. Anyone who insults a mans family is a lowlife.

OK? Help? First what year is your MM? How many miles did you get off the first set? Peice Goodyear eagle 1, now that's expensive.
Answer the questions for help.:)

Why can you not laugh off an insult about your car EVEN when, according to your own statements, you can laugh up a direct insult to you personally? It is sad to see that you are serious in your statements and that this is not a joke.

I guess that this statement is perfectly fine with you and your logic:

"OneBadLSE, you have a really good looking car and I like it but you are still a dumba$$ and look retarded in it."

I don't mean to disrespect you in anyway with the above statement. I only hope to show you your flawed logic. I complemented your car but insulted you. So, according to your logic, we're cool?!?

Cars (even BadLSEs) are only material objects. Anyone who cares what others think or say about them has deep issues IMO.

Anyway, sorry for going off topic and really I didn't intend to disrespect you. I only wanted to show you that insults to a car are not fighting words in my world.

Hey Welcome to the site! lol New member and already feeling the love. :welcome:

I went with the Nitto 420 in a 255/55/18. Thats the smallest size for these tires so I left the stock BFG's on the front.
They are great all around tires unless you have a Torque convertor, then I cant seem to get them to hook up.
Also plan to not do any snow driving with these tires as well

It will be a month or so before I can afford $200 per tire but I will be going with GoodYear Eagle F1's 255/55/18 in the back of course...otherwise you will have them all 50's

ehh...To each his own. Ive seen my share of knock down fights because some guy was shooting his mouth off about anothers car. Its happened.

no biggie...To think this disagreement started with me just simply saying in a joking manner "stop driving". Sometimes i feel obligated to take cheap shots at certain threads.

And as for tires, the only experience ive had are with 15',16',and 17' rim sizes. I tend to like goodyear for handling. The LS's i have on my car love curves and have EXCELLENT side wall strength. you dont hear the tires whining on sharp curves. I have close to 40k on the original set that came with my car. I intend on purchasing a new set of maybe tripple assurance for the winter months...Ive heard some great stuff about them.

Gl on ur tire search

There is a TON of info on the site about tires and tire selection.
Do yourself a favor and get the beverage(s) of your choice, sit down, click on "search" on the tool bar, and type in TIRE....
You'll be here awhile, but you will learn alot, including pointers on extending your tire life..
Enjoy!!

If you are looking for a cheaper solution to OEM you will not find it, except perhaps going with the Nexen N3000 tire, and those aren't all season so you'll need a winter solution if you drive in snow...

Now, for a bit more money you can get a better tire as many have eluded too.

I chose the KDW-2 tire and am very happy with them. They grip well, look cool, and were reasonably priced. Some do not like htem due to increased ride noise, but I did not find that terribly bad, no worse than my worn KDWS's.

They grip surprisingly well, though I have not tried them on the track.

Some good info on tires, which is slowly becoming out of date and will probably need a review soon is here: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/reviews/showproduct.php/product/47/sort/2/cat/18/page/1
