Anyone have any ideas photos for mounting a CB on the driver side?

In another vehicle I had, I replaced the double din radio with a single din and a cb. It was an older car, so I did kind of a hack job on it.
Carrying a portable CB radio (like abig walkie talkie) is also an option if you listen to truckers more than talk to them.
If you travel a lot, listening to the truckers on a cb is an invaluable tool once you get used to their lingo.

I used mine on the way to GA and FL. I am considering an overhead mount. More on that at another time.
Right now, I have a Jotto desk set up with the CB mounted to the bottom. The CB is at fingers reach, but this rig is not passenger friendly.

Charlie, do you still have the laptop holder thing in your car? I haven't been able to find any around the area cause I need something to mount my laptop in my car when I'm doing service calls.

CHA-CHING on the porta desk. Do they leave those in CVPI auction cars? I was thinking offset left of the steering column underneath. This will not interfere with driver comfort.
Thanks for ideas.

I made a mount for the passenger side that was made out of aluminum stock bent in at the ends (picture a staple). This slide under the console lip and over the top of the console lip between the shifter trim panel. Unfortunately my CB just went TU and I've got a long trip coming up....

Yeah, I did similar in my wifes Lincoln LS. But it was a pain for the passenger when it came to rest/sleep. If I did this on drivers side my leg would always be queueing up the microphone.
I oughta just spend some $$ and get:
