If any of you could give me some advice here I would appreciate it. My sister's car broke down in a parking garage up towards the top. Smoke and antifreeze all over the ground (the head gasket I'm guessing). It wasn't running long before she shut it off. Tow trucks can't fit into parking garages so she's kind of stranded. Will the motor be completely fried if she tries to drive it out of the garage if it isn't already? It's a 96 olds cutlass supreme v6 3.1. She is an hour away from me so if this isn't possible I'll have to drive there and help push it out. Thanks for any assistance here.

Sorry I couldn't give more time to respond, but she's probably freaking out so I'm going to head out. Thanks anyway.

Too late to respond... ordinarily I wouldn't consider running it in that situation. I'd go ahead and push it out anyway. Good luck on that.

Uh...get some friends.... wait till after hours, put in Neutral, push to the down ramp. Steer! Gravity will get the car down, you just have to have good upper body strength to steer without your power steering running. Brakes will require more effort also. I have done this a couple times for work acquaintances in our garage.

I drove out there and eventually got it out. It was on the 10th floor of the parking garage for the Hancock building. I made out pretty good though(steered the car while my girlfriend and an my englishmen brother in law pushed). I promised him free tea and crumpets for helping out. I'm still waiting to see what the damage is.
