Well here is the new kit some of you have asked for, Kinsler has provided us with am new and improved filter, this kit replaces the stock OEM filter, with the restrictive 90 degree bends. It comes complete with stainless steel braided lines and mounting bracket.

Here is a picture of the first kit, installed.

As shown here the old filter could be used in a dash 8 setup and the new filter can as well.

The old filter was smaller Jack, but it still flowed far more than the OEM, and now its been replaced with a larger one.

Any upgrade benefit for us "old Kinsler kit" users? Is it just a filter swap or does it have to be remounted?

it will use the same lines as the older one this is a larger filter and will flow more fuel. For those N/A cars that have the older filter there is no real benifit, for the SC cars there is

I may be interested Dennis. How does it connect into the Stock System? Do you cut the Fuel Lines, and splice this in? Do you put on new ends?

Any Pics of the connection?

Here of before and after pictures of the Kinsler fuel filter install, as you can see below is the stock OEM fuel filter.

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1305516567-OEMFILTER.jpg

Below this is the complete Kinsler fuel filter kit with the aircraft quality stainless steel brake lines and compression fittings

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1305517237-KINSLERFUELFILTERWITHLINES.jpg

Shown installed is the new Kinsler fuel filter installed.

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1305517332-INSTALLED.jpg

Next are showing how the front and rear stainless steel lines are connected to the OEM steel lines by compression fittings.

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1305517461-REARLINE.jpg

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1305517513-FRONTLINE.jpg

I could've made this kit less expensive, but when it comes to a fuel system on any ones car I don't want to leave anything to chance, that is why I chose aircraft quality braided stainless steel lines with compression fittings. This will completely rule out the chance of any fuel leaks in the future, due to possibly deteriorating rubber hoses or the clamps that might attach them to an OEM steel line.

I got the Turbo Blue fuel filter (http://www.reinhartperformance.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=12345&Product_Code=MM-RFF&Category_Code=9) kit from Reinhart. It is a very nice kit and comes with (2) -6 (dash-six) braided stainless lines. You have to cut the MM's existing fuel lines and then carefully sand the line ends to install the steel compression type fittings that they can slide onto the fuel line. Kit also comes with a stainless steel mounting bracket that I didn't use. I ended up adding on a Fitch fuel catalyst it has (dash-six) fittings so it bolted right onto the Kinsler Reinhart kit. I got the larger F4 series for Ford (good for up to 400hp) The website is http://www.fitchfuelcatalyst.com/ Fitch provides you with (2) Ford quick connect fuel lines so I could have installed it in the engine compartment but I thought this was a neater cleaner install to have it inline after the fuel filter.

I did not install this as It was easier for my mechanic to do on a lift. He drilled and tapped the frame and those two bands are very beefy (came with Fitch kit) They totally removed the factory filter and bracket and the small factory lines, clips and all of the major bends over 2' worth.

http://www.nationalgunday.com/mm/filter1.jpg

http://www.nationalgunday.com/mm/filter2.jpg

Turbo Blue filer is way bigger (I'd say twice) than factory. The Fitch system is much bigger however and is very securely bolted to frame with included bands so the Kinsler floats in mid-air.

Fitch cost the same as about 3 tanks of gas. It should help the engine to run cleaner with emissions etc.

Might go to Esta next week Ray pm me if you wanna go..

Dennis this might sound like a dopey question but here goes. This fuel filter kit is really cool looking and its a shame to hide it where no one can see it unless the car is on a lift. Is there any place in the engine bay that would be safe for it to be mounted?

This site may have some well seasoned members on here, but we come with a wealth of knowledge and we are are here to help. There are no dopey questions, and yes it could be mounted under the hood if the car had dash eight lines it would be easy with stock lines that may be done if the right fittings are used, I have several cars here I will look at this approach and let you know.
