Has anyone bought vent shades (I think that's what you call them) that go over your windows to pevent rain from coming in when the windows are cracked open? If so do you purchase them for a Grand Marquis 2003?
Thanks in advance. (Tired of rain pouring in).

Torrie at www.fordpartsnetwork.com now carries the AutoVentShade "VentVisors" (see my sig). Just tell him you're from mercurymarauder.net...he'll take good care of you...

Check out www.mats.com for their version called "weatherflectors". These sell for $79.95 + S&H and fit in to the window track. These are for those who do not want to apply double-sided tape to their paint.

Actually, the VentVisor's tape attaches to the chrome trim, not the paint...
hiding the chrome is a nice bonus...
TOO MUCH CHROME!

The only problem I found is that they don't line up exactly with the chrome. Took me a while to get used to them, but I like them now.

Contacted mats.com & they say they don't have them for the Maurader.:(

I would certainly expect the ones for the GM would be an exact fit for the MM, or even the CV for that matter. I bet the doors are identical on all three models(depending on level of trim)........just a thought! The doors on my '03 CV LXSport I dumped for the MM had the same controls, my steering wheel was identical.....

Marsha, if you havent ordered them yet, Weather tech has one that just pops in to the window. No tape, and good for those who want to still show the chrome.

When I bought mine, they said they were for the CV/GM and had "2003 Marauder" printed on the label, looked like after the fact; different ink and bigger type...so I'd say you were right Murader03.

I have VentVisors and they DON'T tape on the car. Made in Germany and fit perfectly INSIDE the window track. Took about 10 minutes to install all four. Cripes!!

I have the VentShade brand on my PI and they are adhered to the chrome. I plan on buying the Weather Tech because of the better appearance (IMO) and then black out my chrome! =P

I installed the WeatherTech Weatherflectors on my car last weekend. It took 5 minutes, and I think they look great. You hardly notice them, and they don't "disturb" the lines of the car...

I really dislike rain coming in....but over the years was always disgusted with these visors. Something about the look, I just can't put my finger on it.
But as time passes, I find myself becoming somewhat interested, especially since styles have changed and become less obtrusive and noticable.
So, the question now is style, bearing aside that everyone has their own opinion, I am sure the concensus will basically agree:
WHO MAKES THE BEST LOOKING PRODUCT?
Disregarding the mounting style-strictly looks.

Sheboyganguy; since the told me they don't have them for the 03 Marauder, did you get them for the 03 Marquis?

Yes, that is correct. The ones for the Grand Marquis will fit. If you go to www.weathertech.com, put in the 03 Marauder, it will come up with the same Weatherflectors that they use for the GM...
The WeatherTech floormats are great, too!!

Almost forgot -- no one had the application for the 2003 MM, but the 2002/2003 Grand Marquis is an EXACT fit.
