Can anyone direct me on finding out when my car was 1st put under warranty? The reason I ask is when I bought my 04' used, I asked when it was put into service/how much warranty do I have left - answer: Jan 07' or 36K(I now have 29,6**K). I went to the Ford/LM stealership today to get a couple things fixed before warranty runs out, and they tell me my warranty start date was 10/28/03. Well, it also says my built date was 10/27/03. My question is, how could this car be shipped to the US, sold, delivered and put into service in ONE DAY? Believe it or not, the service writer(whom I know) agree's with me - the dates make little sense but, there is nothing he can do and gave me Fords customer service phone number. Anyone else ever run across this? Do I do a title search(which I have never done and don't know where to start - DMV?) and does Ford even care what I find? Any advice is much appreciated.
