Had a Black MM with "Consul" plates follow/lead me about half the way back from Houston to Dallas today. He got off on I-20 headed east. I was driving the Vette, so he probably wasn't very impressed. Just wondered if anyone might know who the foreign dignitary is who drives the same beast as we do.

There was one in the Galleria area of Houston, I wonder if it was the same one?

Couldn't really see in all that well. You just kinda expect an embassy car or consulate car to be a limo rather than a MM.

Not neccesarily. I was an intern for the Chicago Police Dept. at O'Hare airport, and we saw every type of consulate car you can think of. But a Rauder, thats awesome.

I wonder if he has "Diplomatic Immunity". If so, he can get all the tickets he wants and they can't do a thing to him.

When I worked overseas for a US Consulate and later for a US Embassy, I used to drive our cars that had the "CC" and the "CD" plates, however I did NOT have Diplomatic Immunity, as I was only driving those cars, and was NOT a diplomat.

So if I get a D1 CC plate it would be a Consulate plate?
