Now that my Marauder has been sold to Zack, ( and it was very tough to see someone else driving it away) I still have to tell everyone about how fantastic the Trilogy supercharger kit was. There's no doubt in my mind that it was by far the best modification that I've ever performed to any car that I've ever owned since I was 16 years old!! I've never regretted the purchase, nor the installation of this supercharger to my Marauder in the two and a half years that I owned it following, and I still don't regret it.
In the 30 months that I drove my "Trilogized" Marauder, I put 44,000 hard miles on it, (55,000 was on it total) and had the most fun that I've ever had with any car that I've ever owned in my life. I give a big THANKYOU to Jerry Barnes, and to the rest of the Trilogy Motorsports crew for making such an outstanding product.:banana2:

I know what you mean. It is by far the best mod you can do to a MM. Sorry to see you let it go. It is in good hands.

So.......what's next? Do you have another vehicle in mind as a winter beater?

I feel some day, you may have another Marauder.
In the mean time, finish that Monster Chevelle and beat the fastest time you ran the Marauder!:banana2:
Is Zack going to make it back to Chicago, in one piece?

I plan on taking most of the money from the sale of the car, and looking for some decent RWD V8 transportation. And I agree that it's very possible that I'll buy a Marauder again someday in the future when my finanacial situation is different. Ther's a very good possibility that Zack will make it back home w/out issue with the car. hopefully he isn't getting too much into the boost, so his chances of avoiding a mechanical break down with the car are decreased.
On a lighter note, let me say that meeting Zack was great, and he seems like a real cool guy. Him and I had some good conversation on the way back from the airport. We talked a lot about Marauders and cars in general, and he inquired about my Chevelle as well. I look forward to firing up my Chevelle soon. But ofcourse, it won't be driven in the winter time. And yes, that car will be a whole 2 seconds faster in the quartermile than my Marauder ever was. And it will do that on pump gas as well.

Damm!!! How many car does this put Zack up to now? I hope that new homestead comes equiped with a big enough garage.
I had a blast driving it home.
The car didnt miss a beat. Gave it some boost after 800 long miles. Nice!
Thought if i blew it up it would be OK on my own street.
I have some theories as to whats wrong with it, just waiting to borrow a bore-O-scope to get a better look.
Billy, Im gonna put the car in black primer and black everything out.

AAAAAHHHH, it sounds like you believe that it's a cracked piston crown, or ring landing.....
I heard that you had some fun with it on I-80 in PA. :D
can you tell if it used any oil on the way home?
and BTW, how the heck did you make it back so soon? You must have really been flying!!! (LOL)

I had Mary post that, but it is completely untrue! Even Im not dumb enough to push a hurt motor 700 miles from home!
As far as oil, didnt use a drop.
Actually i think one of the rod bearings may be worn enough for the piston to hit the cylinder head on the way up.
It was 2 quarts low when I picked it up from you which could have led to an oiling issue for the bearings at one point.
the tolerances are so tight in these mod motors that it is feasible to conclude the piston is hitting. The piston noise will drown out the rod bearing noise, if there is any at all.
Im not making this all up as I go either, this really does happen in mod motors.
We shall see in a few weeks when i have the time

As far as oil, didnt use a drop.It will after a few thousand miles, however, it doesn't burn enough of it to cause any smoke to come out of the tail pipes. Atleast not yet anyway.

BTW, I don't doubt you that the oil was low since it definately is burning some oil, but I also know that it had to look lower on the stick than it actually was yesterday when you were checking it since the car was parked on a hill which sloped considerably towards the back of the car. And I just topped off the oil level two weeks ago.
I guess that we can consider many things at this point to be heresay to a certain extent, until the engine is pulled aprt, atleast partially. But FWIW, a guy who works in a local Ford dealer here who is also a board member here ("The Punisher") stated that he has seen a lot of 4.6L DOHC motors waste bearings.

Thanks there are 55,400 miles on it. And I installed the Trilogy supercharger when it had 11,000 on it. I've driven it every day for the past 3 1/2 years up until yesterday when I sold it to Zack.
