Freshly ground from new billet blanks, not regrinds. They're nice enough to not need an more work from cryo treatment or REM polishing. Going straight into the heads like they are.

Ends so you can see the labels/specs:

Anybody familiar with Comp Cams specs on their off-the-shelf stuff? These are supposed to be custom grinds based on the flow bench measurements on my heads.

Shop was assembling my heads today, should be done tomorrow. Starting on crank balancing tomorrow or Wednesday, short block assembly starts next week.

Can't wait to see all this together and running in your car. Will be a great performer.
Best of Luck with all of the changes.

I'm anxious too, as well as my engine builder and tuner. Hopefully it'll be installed by January.

Inrersting cam selection Brian. My engine builder went with the Crower cams, Part # 62811-2, (.532/.532) Hot street profile emphasis for mid-range. Boost is taking care of the top end. Last dyno pull with the 93 octane tune I was pusing 17 lbs @ 6500 rpm with 585 RWHP.

Looking forward to see how your combination with the same blowers compares with mine. I had to go to a 3.7 pulley (prior 3.5) to stop belt slippage as well as a large tensioner pulley. Hoping to have my engine back in the car in a couple of weeks and at the track by the end of next month.

Your project is coming along great buddy:beer: .

Not sure if you're wondering about the lift or duration specs, but the logic behind the selection was based on how the heads flowed. Here's the numbers:

Lift...Intake...Exhaust
.100... 119..... 92
.200... 187.... 160
.300... 251.... 194
.400... 290.... 212
.500... 302.... 219
.550... 306.... 222

So going higher on the lift than the .475/.450 would be getting into an area of diminishing returns.

Anxious to hear how your buildup performs, too! I had originally planned to have Al do my head porting but he was so busy I couldn't even get a chance to talk to him. He's got a great reputation for his head porting and engine building skills.

Just got a call from the machine shop, heads are together. Can't wait to see them. I'll get some pics of them the first of next week and post them. Maybe the short block will be together next week too!
