They seem to be holding slightly more value than an equally priced car of the same year..................I think.

I think long term value will be high.
Small production run - 11,052 - actual numbers will be much less due to accidents, etc.

Here's a typical depreciation curve for both the '03 and the '04 Marauder. I think what we'd like to see is for the curve to slowly flatten out at some point. After that a gradual increase would be nice ..... but I think it is still too early to tell on this. We oughta have a better fix in about 2 years.

My crackpot opinion is that in about ten years the prices will still be quite reasonable, but you'll have some trouble finding an un-modded Marauder thanks to mercurymarauder dot net!!!:burnout:

I hope you get it.
I found a few things wrong with it.
A) The headlights had an abnormal amount of wear and tear. They look like they have over 100k on them.(foggy dull look)
B) front and rear bumpers look like theyve been sprayed
C) trip odometer was broken:bs:
D) Odd outward dent in the passenger side door (front)
E) right rear window inoperable:shake:
F) blew smoke when cold started and floored a few times (this tends to be normal because ive seen this happen on new Navigators/Marauders/LS's)
the highlights were - A BIG ****g SMILE ACROSS MY FACE WHEN I PUNCHED IT!!
The seats seem like they do have the 44k the odometer suggests. Comfortable as all hell. They make my marquis seats seem like dog poop. Car was tight as a drum. The guy offered me the car for 15,500 + 500 to certify it. When the car is certified i also get a 5.9 APR for 60 months with Ford credit. I dunno how i can beat that....
I wouldnt say this is a perfect car, but it was borderline clean. One downside is that they offered me $9200 for my car, and my payoff is $11,400.
Anyone know of anybody who would make me a reasonable offer on the car, please let me know. It has a Ford ESP warantee up to 67k or 3 more years from the milage 37,300 that it currently has on it.
UGH.......... I DONT KNOW WTF TO DO!!!!!!! :alone:

I think that is covered under a TSB
B) front and rear bumpers look like theyve been sprayed
Get them to buff them out
C) trip odometer was broken:bs:
Tell them you want it fixed
D) Odd outward dent in the passenger side door (front)
E) right rear window inoperable:shake:
Could be bad motor, loose connection, bad switch or bad regulator. Again try to get them to fix it.
F) blew smoke when cold started and floored a few times (this tends to be normal because ive seen this happen on new Navigators/Marauders/LS's)

See if the ESP covers anything above

If you can get 5.9 with FMC, your credit rating is darned good. FMC is always HIGH. Join a credit union and you can do even better. My CU rates start at 4.5 for 2000 and newer cars with good credit.
I'd wait for a better Marauder if the dealer doesn't want to make the repairs. Selling your soul for a Marauder is an acceptable practice, but you gotta walk away if things aren't right.

A) My right headlight looks rather worn, I have the moisture issue that seems to be common with these cars.
B) Painted bumpers are a PITA to take care of. Usually some A-hole will bump into them and cause a scuff. Consider that a bonus that they were sprayed because if the bumpers were scuffed and scratched it would have turned you off even sooner.
C) I have no explaination for the trip odometer not working. Maybe the reset button is sticking
D) A outward dent may be a paintless dent place doing a bad job removing a ding from the door. These are things you can argue price over or make them repair or replace.
E) Sometimes in cold temperatures the window wont work, I have had this happen several times and when they do work its rather slow. Many people have had the same complaint about the slow windows.
F) Its cold out!! You will of course have smoke coming out the pipes. If its blue smoke, then that should be repaired. There are endless threads on cold start blue smoke.
As for your car, you can add your payoff to your new car payment on the Marauder. 5.9 isnt a bad deal and if they are going to factory Certify it, then go for it.
However, I never heard of a dealer setting a price to certify a car, usually the car goes through the checks and then put on the lot as a certified vehicle long before you start making a deal.
I would question that.
If its truly certified, you should qualify for the same APR as a new car, plus a 5yr/75k Drivetrain warranty should be issued on the car.
That would make it a win win situation and you can buy it with confidence.
What dealership is selling this Marauder?

Actually I asked about certifying a car in the past. It can be done, it's just the dealership probably didn't want to go through the process. If there is something wrong, they have to fix it and the price goes up, which just ends up getting passed on to the buyer.
It can cost more than $500 to certify if they find problems with it.
