Fronts, Backs,? I haven't done these yet but I assume they're no different than the Crown Vic. Two bolts, pop off the caliper, replace the pads, compress the pistons with a vice grip, reinstall, pump up the pedal and go?:burnout:

Pete's Brake Job Steps:
1. Drive to brake shop. Drop car off.
2. Ask how much and how long.
3. Pick up car, write check.

That is pretty much what I did with mine. I had to change out mine because the last owner drive it with her foot on the brake for 7500 miles.

You know I really don't like giving my car to someone to work on...but everytime I see a post like that I realize it would be much easier!

As long as your not rebuilding the calipers, you can't because there are no rebuilding kits available, it's easy to do, pull off the wheels and take a look.

Brake job doing it youself - $40 for the top of the line ceramic pad at autozone. less that 1 hour in your driveway, Peace of mind that the job was done right.

Brake job at a service station - $150 but wait your rotors need to be cut, make that $250 it sould be ready later today - just walk or bum a ride everwhere. in the end you get the cheapest pads that they make. In colege i worked for a service station pumping gas. they paid $7 for a pair of pads - garbage and would always cut the rotors on their own machine (15 min) and charge a fortune.

I leaned to do pads myself - it takes no brains whatsoever you save a ton of cash and get top notch parts - not to mention self satisfaction

I don't like other people touching my car, but it's a necessary evil. I don't do mechanical work on what I drive due to previous bad experiences. :(

I held my breath while loading the DR tune into the MM's computer.

Trust me, it's cheaper in the long run for me NOT to try and work on my cars.:D

Do you mind if I ask, how many MILES you have on this set of pads ?
Are you changing FRONT and REAR ?
