Ya gotta love the guy, who is buying his last car , and choses a Marauder, My favorite color!
I sold those, they may not appeal to the masses here, but to the right guy , it has every bit of passon as we have, for one, without the Carriage top.
Don't let Maury, see this!:nono:

Just take them off. That will work.

So roughly how much would it cost to have a shop remove and repaint the roof?

I'm thinking 1500 at least.

JVJ
11-22-2006, 09:13 AM
With labor and time. I will think it may cost a little more than 15k's.

Yeah, I forgot that it would be a reputable paint shop (Macco would just bastardize it)

Then again if it was dealer installed, maybe all it needs is to be removed and just buff off the remaining glue

I know some of the guys that remove the half roofs on the Box bodies panthers just had to scrape off some of the adhesive they used.

11-24-2006, 04:37 PM
And what's up with what looks like blue overspary on the trunk lid supports? Is that factory or a repaint?

LILALLEYKATT

I would never buy another car from the saltbelt. I got mine in Chicago and even though it only had 6K there is still that darn pitting on the engine aluminum...Then a white powder appears ontop of that...I have also seen it appear on cars that live in costal regions...The steering shaft is discolored..The power steering line on the highside is corroded...LLS...IMHO

Someone thought that was a good idea? Yuck!

The vinyl roofs look OK on some cars...I once owned a '91 Crown Vic with a half vinyl that I thought looked good...but they're out of place in the majority of applications. They look terrible on Mark VIII's (my last car before the MM, but thankfully mine didn't have one), but you still see them sometimes. And on a Marauder???? Sacrilege.

I'm suprised that they didn't hack the "C" pillars to install the matching opera windows!!!

What!!! NO rear trunk lid-faux spare tire mod???

:puke: .....:puke: .....:puke: .....:puke: ......:shake: .....:nono: ....

The guy who authorized that vinyl roof on an ultra rare Blue Marauder should have the soles of his bare feet beaten with a heavy rubber hose.

What I like best are the Questions and answers that are shown on the auction below the photos.

They made me LOL.
