I put the JLT back on last night.
I left it off upon the remanufactured long block install, just untill the motor had a chance to break in.
The Car has had the factory airbox for the last six months.
The cars' programming was tweaked by Lidio, last summer @ RT 66 in Joliet with the JLT installed.

This time it went together with the Aluminun Maf adapter and the heat shield.
I drove the car just a few minutes(enough to get it up to temp).
The first time I hammered it, when it got to about 5K rpm, it stumbled 3 - 4 times before it shifted.
I tried to repeat this several times, to see if it was still learning the new tricks.
It repeated itself(same symptoms)four or five times.
The stumble turned into a slight bog befor shifting and it seemed to shift slightly earlier.(200-400 rpm)
Then It seemed understand the difference and ran/shifted a little better.
I had two WOT attemps that performed flawlessly, just before I had to return home.

I will be trying it again today.
I will report back my results.

Well let's see.
You had the JLT (no drivability issues with it) and then uninstalled and reinstalled and the JLT is causing the transmission to shift 2-300 RPM earlier???

These air tubes are more complacted then I thought.

Do you think the computer is relearning some things Bradley?

Well after getting the facts I understand you went from N/A to S/C?

is this right?
What intake is the tune set for?

By reading your post and PM it sounds like you've been driving the car with the S/C.
So with this info I can only assume the tune was done with the stock airbox?
is this right?

Now you just installed the JLT intake and did not re tune for the new amount of air flow.
is this right?

Bradley, if I remember correctly you are part of DynoPro dyno shop correct?
I would have to think they would understand this and recommend you to check your tune with ANY modification at this point.

If not I am recommending you re tune your car on the dyno for the best and safest performance.

Thanks for the post,

Jay

I edited my post to include more information.
I know in numbers, thier are only a few people(less than a handful) that have had any issues with the computer relearning.
I know that hundreds of kits have been sold to satisfied Marauder owners, as well as several other(models) kits, Jay offers.
He also contributed prizes to our dyno day, last year!
His customer service is, top notch!
I don't have direct acess, to the dyno anymore.

It did not cut out on top(above 5000 rpm), it just felt a little flat(running out) up just before shifting 2-3.
The BAP setting is on 1, not sure if going higher than that would help?

I called Lidio, to pick his brain.

Got a call back from Lidio.
Too hard to tell, over the phone.
He suggested in this instance,to put the factory box back until A/F measurements can be sampled.

I drove the car today after reinstalling the factory box and tube.
It had a bit of the same flatness, on top (just before it shifts)
It did this a couple times, then it went back to, business as usual.
If I go back to the CAI, I will be looking to keep an eye on the A/F ratio, with a dynotune.
