I put the JLT back on last night.
I left it off upon the remanufactured long block install, just untill the motor had a chance to break in.
The Car has had the factory airbox for the last six months.
The cars' programming was tweaked by Lidio, last summer @ RT 66 in Joliet with the JLT installed.
This time it went together with the Aluminun Maf adapter and the heat shield.
I drove the car just a few minutes(enough to get it up to temp).
The first time I hammered it, when it got to about 5K rpm, it stumbled 3 - 4 times before it shifted.
I tried to repeat this several times, to see if it was still learning the new tricks.
It repeated itself(same symptoms)four or five times.
The stumble turned into a slight bog befor shifting and it seemed to shift slightly earlier.(200-400 rpm)
Then It seemed understand the difference and ran/shifted a little better.
I had two WOT attemps that performed flawlessly, just before I had to return home.
I will be trying it again today.
I will report back my results.
