My brother just got a 2007 Z51 Corvette. This was my first time in a vette and all i can say is DAMN. I have engine envy now, You can REALLY feel the difference in tq between my modded MM and that STOCK Z51. O well , time to start looking for superchargers...

I know this thread is worthless without pics so check back tomorrow.

I'd love to have one of the new Shelby Cobra GT500's, but the dirty ##### dealers are asking 10 to 20 over sticker for them. Being able to buy at employee price is totally worthless if no one will sell you one.

Even with my Zex Kit it just isnt the same, I have never ridden in a SC marauder of any blower so I dont know what the comparison would be. I would like to find out though. Im starting to see the short comings of Fords Performance choices over the years, with their choice of small displacement and advanced head design you HAVE to have a SC to make any significant tq. Props to Chevy.

those are not short comings....small cubes equal fuel mileage, small cubes and blowers equal power, driveability and fuel mileage. ford are the smart ones....you dont need over 400 ci to go fast......blowers only work when you need them to.....

Vettes get better mileage than MMs. Lighter and more aerodynamically improved has as much to do with mileage as displacement.

The Vette got a little over 26MPG on my trip to Houston and back last week.

Thanks KillJoy I appriciate the offer. I'd jump at the chance , If your ever in Santa Barbara or Vegas PM me.

And I didnt mean to start a vette v marauder flame, they are both *****in , I will ALWAYS want my Marauder over a Vette ( excluding Z06 , lol)
As far as gas milage its the right foot amongst many variables to get you MPG's . Off to watch Detriot destroy Miami. P

obviously a vette gets better mileage than a marauder....but we werent talking about the car its in we were talking about the engines ford uses compared to gm...put the marauder engine in the vette and see what kind of mileage it gets then.....and vise versa...

Now that's an interesting question. Wonder if anyone has ever tried it.

Personally, I'd rather have the Shelby GT500 engine in my MM. Poverty prevents that, but I can still dream.
