Elevens Again!

Today I took Defyant Marauder to Cecil County Dragway for some fun. There were lots of impressive rides there. Most cars were deep into the 13s with a majority of them running in the 11s. Even a dragster running 7s at almost 200 mph!

I got my usual 12.0x slips. But my favorite was the 11.993. Not a personal best, but respectable none the less.

The 13.101 run was my FUBAR run of the day. I FUBAR'd the burnout and blew a collector gasket again :D . The car was making all kinds of noises, so I lifted. My R/T was .295 w/ a 60' of 1.745 before I got out of it. Could have been another 11.xx run.

Same thing happend last year. I had to use cheepo felt gastets because the local auto parts stores do not carry the copper ones from Mr. Gasket. I have them in the garage right now in preperation for this day. Defyant Marauder is cooling down with WD-40 on the collector nuts right now.

I am tempted to fix'er up and go back :) .

Great show Charlie. Really consistent times and I know that is hard to do with the SC. Good luck with the gasket. CJ is going to love this! Under the Marauder. I am pretty sure I saw what must have been Lauren under there also in one of your under the car pics. Have fun. :D Dennis

I went back for two more 12.0sumthin slips. Didn't cost me nothing so why not. I am a few miles from the track

First was a 12.016 with poor traction.

Second was a 12.007. It should have been another 11.9x run though. They changed up the lights on me to a pro tree (three yellows at once then green), so my R/T was the worst of the day at .797. WTF.

In other words, it takes .797 seconds to think "What the ...GO" :lol:

That doesn't affect your ET though. Nice runs regardless. Would have been cool if you went to the SSOTN fall event a few weeks back when I was there.
