Aside from asking the dealer to replace the cover, what is the best way to cover a 'blem' in the black coloring of the bumper cover??

I have a 'quarter' sized yellow spot on the top surface of my rear bumper cover...appears like the material color has bled through the black or the black did not cover this (round) area.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

That yellow spot sounds like the native material peeking through at you. Repaint the whole piece?

Not real sure... Nothing short of a repaint will help I think

joe...I think these are yellow before painted (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). I'd ask the dealer to have it repainted, unless your saying this came from road debris, bump, etc.

Thanks for the advice to all respondents.
The dealer (great people) has replied like wise.

It IS the generic coloring coming through the black. Apparently something kept the black overcoat from annealing.

Can the spot be 'touched-up'?? or should the entire unit be repainted??

Repaint, touchups can look... bad.

So advised, thank you, MAD-3R.
I will see my dealer today and request a repaint.

Since my dealer is such a great guy, it would probably be a good time to check front wheel alignment.
With yesterdays Thread regarding this topic and the 'correct' numbers posted, I will submit the print out to the SM along with a strong emphasis to safe guard the wheels while doing so.

I feel fortunate to have inside direction on what to avoid, etc.
Thanks again to all participants.

Another good spot for the god's head steering wheel emblem.

They'll be removing the bumper cover to reshoot it anyway, it shouldn't be shot on the car.
