Looking at purchasing an X-Cal 2 for my 03 MM and have been told that the Lidio tune for the 03 and 04 are different. Is this accurate?

I bought my X-cal from Lidio with the tune. Works out great and kicks butt...

If you can find your way to his shop, you would benefit from his expert tuning on the dyno.

To answer your question, yes, the 03' and 04' tunes are different.

IIRC, whomever you purchase the tuner/tune from will ask you for the version of your MM computer's software. This is found on the driver's door opening toward the front of the car, usually a small white sticker. Mine says CRD0...I think they are all four character codes. This helps your vendor know exactly what to load in the xcal for you.

There is one on eBay with a Lidio tune for an 04, that's why I asked. I guess I'll go right to Lidio myself to make sure I get the right tune. Thanks guys.
