Has anyone seen the new commercial for the Cobra Mustang where the guy sends his car to Germany to drive it on the autobahn? There is a shot of the car where the SVT logo is clearly shown.
I thought SVT was dead? Has the bean counter lady at the head of Ford brought it back? Or was I just wrong...again?

I did not notice that so...not to hijack but that is one of the best car adds I have seen. One like that would have sold Marauders. Dennis

The SVT logo appears on the speedo. The GT-500 (it's NOT a Cobra) is not an SVT branded vehicle, it's an SVT designed vehicle, like the Ford GT. So the logo only appears on the speedo.

OK, wherever the logo is located, I was under the impression that Ford had done away with SVT altogether. Is there still an SVT division at Ford? If so, maybe all hope isn't dead for future performance cars.

No SVT is on "life support" so to speak. Sad state of affairs.

SVT is a just marketing company. An outside sourced company contracted by Ford to market vehicles. The people who actually design the cars and do the developmental work are all still in their prospective places within Ford. As a matter of fact, most of the R&D work for SVT vehicles is done by Roush.

I believe that the SVT logo is actually the shift light for the tach.

Funny, I noticed that too. I read somewhere how 'SVT' was involved. Remember, this thing was being designed before SVT went bye-bye.

It is a cool commercial! It's all over "Is that a Hemi" bs.
