Okay - here's a question for the assembled multitude (er, 'hundredtude'?) I was thinking about as I wait for KB to finish my car (probably mid-July).

I'm going to put in a car kit for the cell phone. The car kit has a "mute" circuit, which is designed to trigger the radio mute for those radios that have a 'mute' feature (the Kenwood in the Land Crusher has such a feature).

Well, there's a "mute" button on the front of the radio - which caused me to wonder if that circuit is available at one of the connectors at the back of the radio, so I could attach the trigger wire. Then, when the phone rings and as long as I am on the call, the radio is muted.

Has anyone got enough knowledge (or can get it) about whether this circuit exists?

[FYI: I have the service CD - no help, although it made interesting reading for about an hour]

Thanks for the reply. Do you have the car kit installed and does it automatically mute the radio when it rings?

I have a hands free Nokia. It is not hooked into the Radio Mute, but I have noticed the Radio display has on occasion when I have hit the mute button, and unknowingly possibly other buttons, displayed "Phone".

Are you a spam bot? I don't get it? If you're trying to advertise that site, then why are you asking asking us to guide you? Was the site you're advertising not give you enough guidance? Very strange spam.
