I was a bit ashamed at MVIV because as a professional installer - I had yet to complete the stereo system in my Marauder. Sure, all the speakers are in and the DVD player and CD changers are installed but my trunk was a train wreck. My amps were loosely screwed to the sides out of the way and I had a grey-carpeted box flopping around just for a little bass. Well, I pulled out all the stops and she has been at my mercy for two solid weeks after work and on weekends. Here is a picture of the first complete part of the trunk. The spare tire (mini) is relocated to the floor and I have a new subfloor that conceals the jack, tire, rags, tools, etc... Here is what I made for the floor. I did this first because everyone was drooling to see what my design would look like completed.

Beautiful. I need to get off my butt and actually re-do my trunk in all glory CV style. You guys with your fancy, shmancy cars make me jealous of the time you put in them to do everything perfect/right the first time. Sometimes us CV guys have to "get it done" now so we can move on to something else and do it perfect later.

Very nice! I'm eagerly awaiting your completed install. What components are you running? If you didn't get a chance to look, here's my system:

It'll be changing this spring when I switch over to an Audison LRx5.600 5 channel amp to run the entire system. The theme will be "stealth" of course.:D

Very nice; kick panels and compression drivers. My system is JL Audio VR5X7 components in the doors, VR5.25 components in the rear deck, 3 JL Audio 10w1v3's in .625 each. I am using Diamond Audio Studio Series D5 amps (600.4 and 600.2, Monster interconnect and an Eclipse 8 volt DVD player with two 8-disc changers. The entire audio path is new and uninterrupted. Here's a pic of the rough layout of the new system. The red ring in the floor denotes where the 20" God's Head goes.

Excellent progress so far. How do you like the Diamond Audio amps? I've heard of them but I don't know too much about them. It's been awhile since I've been in touch with the audio world. I'm still running 10 year old Xtant amps!

Very sharp looking. I was just eager to get my system put in, which is plenty. I had 2 12" Kicker CVR's that pounded in my old CV, and just one of them in the Marauder - except I have a ported box and sounds excellent. Can't wait to see yours when it's done!

Nice, Kenny.
You'll need the trilogy to haul the extra weight!

You guys are gonna force me to get off my arse and join the ranks and prove my 20+ audio years aren't you?!

Think I'm gonna use my hand-built Digital Designs 9515 in an IB (thank you sir)
and a 19 year old Linear Power 500.2 tweaked by TIPS, Inc.

Is a 42lb (yes lb not oz) magnet big enough? I never know!!!!

Yes, I DOOOOO want to. But dam, that drive train work broke me for a while!!!!!!

Go Kenny, go. Can't wait to see it done!!!

No more teasers! I finished it at 5PM yesterday. The floor lifts up and the mini spare and tools and stuff are under the floor. The woofers and amplifiers are lit up with white LED strips. The air suspension and fuel cutoff inertia switches are accessed above the left amp.

Looks sweet! Are you going to make panels to hide the amps and a grille for the subs? I noticed you switched to the JL slash amps. Which ones are they? Great work!

The slash series amps are a 300/4 on the front and rear components and a 500/1 on three 8ohm subs. I used black amps because they were immediately available. I wanted chrome but JL Audio had issues with flaking on some. I have no intention of making panels to conceal the equipment but I do have another floor that covers the pretty one so I don't scuff the engraved one. Carfixer (Claude) saw the installation in person at the car show yesterday. It all lights up at night with white LED's. I will try to get a night shot of it. I have the fever now. I am going to make my own trunklid liner now but the design is up in the air on that one.
