That would be County Line Dragway Inc. 1/8 Mile Dragstrip. The Guy was at the Tower Shops tonite and told us about the story on why and how they were able to do it. I asked him about renting price's and he didn't have them yet!

This has nothing to do with the track but a Black Marauder Pulled up tonite at The Tower Shops with a custom Black paint job with Pink metal flake in it, Hot pink leather interior and I believe 26 inch rims and I believe 5 Vidio screens. He had Conn plates and I gave him one of the MM.net business cards. He didn't know of the site.

From what I've heard about this track, it's going to be very "rough" with no ammenities (not even stands) and the track will not quite be a real track -- no concrete launch pad, etc. BUT, still might be worth a shot just to see how it is.

I think I'm going on a road trip. The only space I know is by the fish camp, where Krome meets Okeechobee(us-27). Maybe if it's paved professionally it'll be worth it. Better than the kids draggin' on us-27 and being arrested. And the spectators too.

I just went through Google satellite images. And I see it's an 'L' shaped runway. As said, directly across from the entrance to Krome ave on us-27.
Looks to be 3000' x 3000'.

I just got back from this place. I wanted to go spectate to see what the track was like, but, I couldn't get in. The line down 27 was a mile long and when we drove by the park itself, there wasn't even standing room, it was PACKED!

Lots of cars of all tapes. Lots of trailered in hotrods, roadsters, ricers, etc. Looks like this place was a success.

I'll try to head by some other time when it's not as busy.

I just saw it on the news a few minutes ago. It looked pretty packed from what I saw but i doubt that the line will be shorter anytime in the near future.Maybe next Saturday or Sunday morning several of us can head over there early in the morning to beat the mile long line and eat a couple of ricers for breakfast

I smell burnt rice :flamer: :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

Quite a few of the News Station's have been showing the New Track. Looked like it was packed solid. Not much of a track though.

People who actually got in said that it was indeed very packed and slightly disorganized. The track, was of course never used for racing before, so it was bare and traction was tough. They did have a tree and timer properly working, so there were time slips. There were no seating areas or other facilities. It is a crude track. However, a few more good weekends and they can certainly reinvest in making things better.

Who knows? Maybe this time next year it will be a decent backyard 1/4 mi track?

They also said that within the next 3 years they would become more organized and have more room and sectioned seating and vendors.....

Rick ....Time to get the ball rolling :burnout: :burnout:

No there is no website. I can get you their phone number though. I going to head out there on next saturday to test out the new Cobra exhaust that I'll have installed next week. I feel like smoking some ricer punks :burnout:

If you go let me know, cause this is something I gotta see, so I can take a pic of the face of a ricer after this happens.

Wow. That was the runway I used for training and evaluations while deployed to support the Hurricane Andrew relief. We were living in a hangar at the Opa-Locka airport and I went over to Opa-Locka West for some necessary annual flight evals.

There weren't many flights in or out of the airport and no room for parking. It was doomed to close, I guess.

I do remember it smelled bad out there. a mix of swamp and factories...
