Congrats my friend!!!

I thought that you "wouldn't be able to use a Marauder as a daily driver"???

Does this mean that you still have the CV?

Either way, we shall smoke one of my cigars for this great event!!!

Thank You ALL!
It's been a long time coming. First started the pursuit of this car in May when the owner called DJV and told him he was ready to sell. It's been a very long wait attenuated by a tremendous amount of grief this fall! But finally it's done. We're the proud owners of Panther #6. Three Vics, two GrandMa's and the MM. My wife wanted a CD player for the Marquis. Although we (Dave and myself) checked this car over from mast to keel and stem to stern, I never did check to see if the stinkin' CD player works. Everything else on the car works, switches, heated seats, lock actuators, posi, tranny, engine, wipers, lights, etc. Just forgot the most important thing. The damned CD player! God, please, I hope it works! She's gonna kill me if it doesn't work! I personally would rather listen to the sweet, Cobra headed exhaust pouring out the trumpets than a CD.

To answer a couple of questions in earlier posts -

I bought the Crown Victoria for work. I love that car tremendously and it IS my daily driver and will remain so for a very long time! From a utilitarian point of view, it is the car for me for work! That's why I bought it brand new. I never got to post in the threads asking, "If the MM wasn't made, what would you be driving?" Well, now I can, and have!

I joined this forum and no others as a red-haired stepchild due to the atmosphere here. To quote Kenny - Com-marauder-y. I love this place despite it's downfalls. There seems to be quite a bit of contention as of late, but the overwhelming numbers of quality people will bring it back even stronger!

As for pictures, they're coming! Lots and lots of them. It's great to have to go out to the garage and see all three panthers out there. Especially the big creepy-looking blue one.

Yes Alex, I will change my sig in time -Chill!

Dave and I smoked two of Aron's cigars Friday night at the first meet. I only had the car for two and a half hours and was already at a car show with it! But we had to have a celebratory stogie!

Special Props-
RoyLPita for the Oasis report. A one owner car that was exclusively serviced at the dealership makes for an accurate Oasis report! It answered a bunch of the questions we had after checking the car over. Brian, I hope your Mom enjoyed the "vino".

Penny and her lesser half. Their support was tremendously helpful. Their gifts are overly generous!

SSPMustang for the future goodies> Thanks in advance Mike!

SouLRiot for the MM brochure to help complete the trick even before I had the car!

Bob_Mathis (I apologize if I'm wrong on this) for the dealer MM poster at MV.

All those who kept this under their hats while it was getting done (SouLRioT, Cobra, MarauderTJA, JimLam, Smokie, Eggie, SSP, DJV, Hotrauder, and the coolest "cuke" of them all, marauderboi!) It was the longest seven months of my life culminated by those three final days of Hades!

Extra special props-
Marauderboi for his unbelieveable enthusiasm, even after we tricked him Friday night at the car show! What a spectacular job they did on the car! I think it's a different color now, I swear it! Christmas did come early this year!

DJV for being a psycho and running red lights driving like the maniac he is to pull the previous owner over to make contact a year and a half ago! If he hadn't have done that, you wouldn't be reading this post today. That's when it all began.

There are no finer people than the ones I've met through this forum. I was treated like a king even when I was the stepchild. Furthermore, the family of DJV is second to none! Period!

Thanks again to all,

JMan

One final statement - JMan jumps quickly into his firesuit! - I'm gonna leave this car all stock :D . Yep, famous "first words".:flamer:

:bs: :bs: :bs: Hey my BS alert just went off!!!!:D

Yeah, Jman. Right. That's what I said. :) Trust me, if you do much city driving in the MM, you'll be wanting a tune for it just to get rid of the obnoxious shifting behavior. Next time I see you, I think I am going to make you drive mine for a few minutes. Then you will have no choice but to join us! Yes, I am evil.

The heck with IBM, Blue never looked so good. Now you just have to find a Xmas tree large enough to put that under.

I wish you all the best, with your upcoming Mods....

Did you have your MM in a garage in Dunedin last week. Saw a blue one with a temporary tag last week.

By the way, beautiful color.

Yes, I did! Had the fluids (Oil, ATF, Differential, and coolant) changed along with a fuel filter, Motorvac Carbon Cleaning and front rotors resurfaced (I hate any brake pulsation). Car is smooth and peppy now. It gets into traction control on the second gear upshift! If I had that tuning in the tanker, I'd be out looking for Rice & Kraut for dinner!

Are you the guy I was behind on Drew Street a couple of weeks ago? Midnight Blue Police Interceptor? Here's my description to Kailuaz via PM:

. . . Drew street. There's what appears to be a black Interceptor ('99 or '00) behind one car and over one lane. As he pulls beside me I can see his Deputy uniform but no cage. I look for brass or stripes as in an admin - but can't see enough to tell. As he scootches ahead I see a CVN (Crown Vic.net) sticker in the back "wing" window. Huh? I start checking closely to see if it is really an Interceptor. It has non-res dual exhaust, PI side mouldings, rear facsia and full hub caps. Weird! Must be an off-duty Deputy in his personal car. Resist urge to call . . .

If so, that's a beautiful car! I've never seen a PI that was that clean - no holes, no damage, no body flaws whatsoever! I hang around (read: work with) 15 municipalities and Sheriff's departments. None have cars that straight and clean! Great find!!!

Thanks for the compliments,

J

That was me in my personal CVPI. I was off duty coming or going to Court. I don't like driving my take home off duty although I can do it. Plus I like getting seat time in my car when I can since the wife drives it all the time. I patrol Dunedin.

The car has some flaws in the paint, and a few dings, but from 5 feet she looks great! After the first of the year, I plan on a good rub down with a clay bar, new mufflers and tips. It was a FHP Captains car, so no cage, no antenna holes or spotlight. I lucked out.

And thank you for the compliments.

Dave
