I figured why not take advantage of the cool air lately and see how we hook up on the Track. I know it's the middle of the week but our calendar is pretty full for the rest of that week, and it will give us a bit more to talk about at the monthly meet and the Xmass party. If we could get some new blood, (and old) we will surely look like the Secret Service running around at Moroso. This invite also extends to any SC Mustangs if there is any around ;) . So who's ready to burn some :burnout: Christmas Rubber:burnout: ?

As far as I can see it might be best just to meet up there. I was planning to leave straight from work and jump on the turnpike. I think there is a rest area on the way but i'm not sure what mile marker it's at.

The whole idea is that there are a lot less people at Moroso on Wednessday which means a lot more time to do get more runs and such. I asked if anyone wanted to go to Moroso last Friday since it was Midnight Madness but no one wanted to go on a Friday due to the fact that that is when everyone else goes which is why everyone wants to go on a Wednessday. Blackmobile, it isn't worth meeting up on the turnpike since we all get out of work at different times and not all of us are comming from the south such as Magindat. Mine as well head straight there and decide which class to run a head of time. Should we go Sportsman or Dial in/ Et? I am all for Sportsman but Dial in/ ET is fine by me too. I am not sure what I will get out of work or what not. I am starting my new job on Thursday which is training day. I'll have to see what kind of hours I get. If I can go, I will go but it may not be until 8 pm or so. The good news is that I am right off Mc Nab so all I have to do is head west to the turnpike and take it from there another 60 miles or so. I may get there by 9 pm if I am lucky. Hm, maybe I can ask to work an earlier shift that day, I do not know. Well I'll let you know as it gets closer.

well, in the right lane I was able to hookup a bit.
I ran a 12.922@108.61

in the left lane, it was slick.
one time I went up in smoke sideways
the last time I smoked tires all the way thru the 1/8th mile, the tires were cold, and just would not hook at all in the left lane. I was on and off the gas hoping they might grab at some point.

And of course I was on street tires, trunk full of stuff...etc...

So I figure...if I had a decent set of drag tires, I could easily cut 3 tenths ...maybe more

and then race gas and other tricks..

I did a couple of 14.4's and one 14.5. I was expecting better. The track was the pits.

The yellow Vette was actually a brand new 07 with the 400 hp LS2 motor. He ran against his buddy's brand spaking new red LS6 Z06 later! That red vette ran 12 something man, it was fast and was 100% bone stock!

Anyway, I ran a new best time, 14.587. I hope my friend didn't bother you guys too much. He can get a little annoying at times. He's a nice guy though.
