Info to upgrade the Electrical System on you Marauder to improve your Fuel System... sounds crazy read on...
- Run an 8AWG wire off of battery PLUS terminal into a 40A maxifuse holder.
- Run an 8AWG wire off of the other side of the maxifuse holder to the pole of a 40A automotive relay.
You need at least 10 gauge wire roughly 20 feet , I perfer 8 gauge stereo cable because it is easy to work with but 10 guage is definately large enough.
Here goes:
- Run an 8AWG wire off of battery PLUS terminal into a 40A maxifuse holder. (autozone, pep boys carries these)
- Run an 8AWG wire off of the other side of the maxifuse holder to the pole of a 40A automotive relay. pin 30
Locate the maxifuse right at the battery!
Locate the relay right at the FPDM

- Cut the input power wire to the FPDM about 2"-3" from the connector (GRN/YEL) pin 87
- Run 8AWG wire from the throw of the relay to the short end of the GRN/YEL wire (FPDM connector)
- Connect the long end of the GRN/YEL wire (from CCRM) to the coil + of the relay pin 86
- Connect the coil - of the relay to ground (chassis is fine) pin 85
This alone will add roughly 1.5-1.7 volts to the FPDM lowering the pump duty cycle,
Whenever the CCRM applies power to the GRN/YEL wire, the new relay will be activated and a heavy power feed will be applied to the FPDM directly from the battery.
Lastly and probably most important !!!! Is run an 8 gauge wire from the BAP output or if no BAP the Brown/Pink strip from FPDM wire to the tank pump housing (Must drop tank to do this)
This will lower amperage draw on pumps and help significantly on lowering Pump Duty Cycle.
FPDM - Fuel Pump Drive Module-located in Driverside trunk area
CCRM - Constant Control Relay Module-located in passengerside front fender
Pin # are marked on just about any 4 or 5 wire Relay, here is a relay diagram site.
