They make a magnetic engine oil, trans fluid, and power steering fluid filtration system.

Supposedly Ford sells the inline trans fluid filter... for a markedly higher price than through this vendor.

Opinions?

Just stick a magnet on your filter......I have done it for years and it catches any ferrous metal particles!!:bows:  You can also buy (make) a magnetic drain plug for the pan.:cool4:

I periodically cut a filter open and you can see the outline of the magnet inside....very fine metal particles!!;) They are so fine I doubt they would cause much harm but why not remove them anyway??

Got an old/dead hard drive laying around? Take it apart, there are small magnets (often 4 of them) on the read/write arm assembly. Remove those and stick 'em on the filter. They're super strong for their size, and cheap! (I don't recommend using a working hard drive for obvious reasons!)
