Men, up late, on vaca next week.
First reel suuny day since I took delivery in late April.
300 miles now, no need to take it out in the rain.
Having trouble w/ the break in period, I can't keep my foot out of it. For the guys stated the break in: "Drive it like you just stole it!" That's me.
I'm manual shifting all the time. First started to kick off the OD prior to passing. Now I'm dropping it into 2nd prior to passing.
Got a feelin this thing will break the tires from 1st to 2nd, but I'm still refraining from WOT.
Down shifting @ 80 mph by kicking OD off, then to 2nd when taking the off ramps!
Just got the Passport 8500, obviously I had too!

Ron:

One of the best mods you'll do to the car is a chip, be it from Dennis or another supplier. Dennis is a sponsor on the board. As stated in a thread sometime back, shifting in and out of OD at speed will inflect extra wear and tear on the clutch/band for OD, as well as other tranny parts when your shifting down at speed. The same would hold true for any manual downshift at speed, your going to wear the bands/clutfches out quicker. The car is good they way iot came, but it gets better with a chip and gears. Most of us have gone to 4.10's and the DR chip, and the car really comes into it own.

Wellcome to the brood of MM owners. There are a great bunch of guys and gals here, so enjoy and don't be afraid to ask. The FAQ section also has a wealth of info available. AS you can see by my sig, the detectors/laser diffuser are needed. Of course, I really believe the "Black" MM is invisible to the local/state police!
