View Full Version : Used Car Value
Latest figures i see look dismal.Loan value $21,825. Clean retail $26,150. Wholesale$22,650. Not so good for a car that listed for $35,000 a year ago. I paid $30,000. $4,000--$8000 in one year ouch!

B-26 - Most cars take a heavy hit when they leave the dealers lot. I think most of us knew that and are in for the long haul. IMHO.

Where did you get those figures, B-26.
Not that I'm argueing with you, I just haven't been able to find any resale values on Kelly or Edmonds and I'ld like to check myself occasionaly.

sounds correct. i am so glad that they are over $20,000. considering that they now go for 27,500 new - 22,500 sounds great.

I checked on kbb.com for the retail price of a Grand Marquis LSE with simular equipment, and also selected "Premium Wheels". Price was $26, 400 for a vehicle with 10,000 miles. That's what I paid for my new Marauder in May. So I figure the resale is good considering.

Just recently sold my MM to CarMax for 23K even. Deducting their processing fees, I took home 22,841. They listed it for resale at 25,998, and all they had to do was wash it.
Buy CarMax stock, I think they will be in business for a while. Both time I visited, I couldn't find a parking spot...

And some lucky owner will have hit the lottery for buying Sarge's car at that price. That will be one fast car for the unsuspecting buyer. We all hope whoever ends up with your car Mac will find their way to this website so we can educate them to that fact.

TAF I must disagree:flamer:
It is by far away the Maruader Special with half vinyl top at Reedmans in Langhorn. Pa. :P
Blows away anything I have seen:help:
Of course unless it a white top:mad2: :alone:
I have NEVER had a car that held its value. I certainly hope the Marauder will be different.
(Not that you could pry my cold, dead hands from it!) :)
