It used to just do it once every morning when I made the first left hand turn *clunk* in the rear end and it never did it again. Now....

If I weave back and forth. *clunk* *clunk* I'm guessing a bushing is screwed some where. I'll find out tomorrow when I take it in. I'm supposed to show homes today so lets just say I'll be driving VERY slowly around corners. I thought it was something in the trunk so I ran home and emptied it out. Same thing.... I just detailed the car so I know nothing is under the seat. Plus the freaking car "shifts" when it clunks....

Do you think running an auto-x course 23 hard times in one day has anything to do with it? :burnout:

Possibly axle bearings are bad causing the axles to shift a little when you turn corners? Hope it's not the bearings on the carrier. Have you had the axle TSB done yet?

If you have a 03 A it's probably axiles I would have them checked.

The axles were checked when the 3.73s were put in. A ford tech was working on them with me. Just for refrence whats that TSB number?

Thanks guys. I'm having a quick moment of peace stealing wireless while getting a bite to eat.

NOPE. Cost is approx $250 + labor.

Could the C-Clips be f-ed up? Think the axle would be worse if c-clips broke.

Simpler - Lug loose? Wheel not seated on hub. Lug not seated in acorn?

Take the weight off the wheel to check.

I believe there were 2 thoughts, parking brake components, and loose rear body mounts - like mine were.

I've lossened and re-torqued the rear lugs twice also thinking the wheel isn't on right or a lug is loose.

Luckly the clients brought their 5 horribly behaived children and followed me today. Yea its clunkin pretty good. From here to the dealer I'm going to take my time. If its a C-clip I'd hate to see my wheel and axle pass me on the freeway. :)

My car is covered under ESP. I think its either a 50 or 100$ deductable. I would take a look at it myself but I just don't have time right now. Its easier to hand the car off and drive my stang for the time being.

Thanks guys for your help. I also had the TSB performed when she was at the dealer for a month getting the re-paint and they said the inspections on the axles were OK. Maybe it was to low of miles at the time to know? It had 30k now she's got 45k.

SlkMerc, unless you have an extended warranty, I think you're SOL from the dealer...

Hah I doubt it. There's only what? 3 people from SLC on here?

I dunno about you but having a child walk off and piss all over someone elses bathroom at 6 years of age is far from a little angel. They need nanny 911. :lol

I'm leaving now for the dealer. I'll keep you guys updated.

Thanks again.

check all your control arm bolts, make sure none of them are loose.

Honestly I'll bet I could of fixed this myself but I just dont have the damn time.

They'll call me tomorrow.

My buddy there said its not likely a bearing or axle issue or I'd have a growl from bearings. Who knows? but if they dont' see anything wrong with the suspension hopefully hell dig into the rear end for me.

FIXED!!!

The locking nuts on the upper control arms backed off. I hate to say it but I should of got under the car and checked that stuff but I just didn't have time. Oh well. At least she'll have the oil and trans flush done. :)

Both of my lower bolts below the axle weren't really tight...maybe 30 ft.lbs. so I cranked on them a little more!! I'll see if I hear it again over the next few days??
