Here's pics of my baby's boo boo after the body shop tried their best to touch it up. This just goes to show how thin our paint is! She goes in on Monday for refinishing. *Sigh*

Looks like one of those pics of a U.F.O. with that background :)

Sorry to see it, though

Yah, you shoulda seen the second pic after Adobe tried "fixing" it. Pulled all the black out of the picture and made it look like there wasn't even a car there! What can I say... I do good wax jobs!

Second... Got my first to go away. This was pretty deep. The initial scratch is right above the primer spot. The primer came through after the paint guy was block sanding. Evidentally there's a tiny dent in there with the scratch. I JUST WANT IT ALL GONE!

The paint on these cars are as thin as I have ever seen.
Good luck on getting the door reshot. I had a scratch fixed on mine before I would take delivery. The body shop did a pretty good job. I can tell where it was but I doubt most people could pick out the spot. Black is a biotch to match and blend. Especially when it is on like ours is. Let us know how you make out.

I still say those of us that keep these cars long enough will end up getting them repainted at FoMoCo's expense. Just a prediction. Kinda my Carnac for the day. For those old enough to know who Carnac was.

Maybe I just got lucky, but mine seems to have a decent paint job on it. Time will tell I suppose.

My paint is good as well. Black is a very tough color to keep clean. Black shows any imperfections which may not be visable in a lighter color.

^I'm with you.^

She looks awesome, even when she's dirty. As you can tell from the pics above, you can see EVERYTHING in the paint, and she's REALLY dirty there. It's just way too thin! Cost cutting I suppose... :shake:

Mine is too thin also. Early build. My hood looks horrible and so dull. The only time it looks good is right after a wax job. I do agree I see Ford repainting these in the future. I just hate to see it loose re-sale value because of a re-paint.
