I keep my car in prisitne condition, yet I notice that the driver seat bottom is showing its age. I am sure that many owners have noticed this as well. Does anyone have a connection with Ford Parts so that a group buy could be arranged on the leather cover. I plan on keeping my car a long time and would be willing to buy now and have the part on hand before it becomes obsolete.

The guy I bought my Marauder from said he had the driver's seat recovered under warranty due to a blemish in the leather. I guess it helped he was the dealership's business manager. IIRC, he said it was like a grand worth's of work and it had to be done off site. It will be interesting to see if it is a serviceable part.

$1k? Yikes! I'm wondering how it could possibly have cost that much...unless the labor was hideously expensive. Or maybe the top cover with the god's head logo is $$$? Though I guess even the bottoms are Marauder-specific with the stitching...hmmm.

I have a local group that have looked at my covers--they can duplicate the logo--will get a price from them--give me a week

Guys,
Here's Sergnt Mac's thread about replacing the bottom seat cover on his driver's seat. It doesn't look like it's too expensive for the cover.

I am on my THIRD seat back cover.....The "God's Head" that is embossed at the top wears VERY POORLY!!!!:mad2: :mad2:
The last one I installed myself.....takes about 45 minutes if you never did one and about 30 minutes if you know how (I watched the second one get installed)!!! Only 2 screws to remove the hard back and and the rest is "Plug & Play"!!!
I'd be interested in a Light Flint bottom if a GB is going to happen!!:D

If you have factory warenty the seats are covered. I thought my seat back was riped but it was just loose. I had them replace it for free and I was able to get the original back to keep.:D

My seat bottom is getting the classic wear hole the 300A's had a problem with. I could go for a bottom cover.

I think the bottom cover of my seat looks a bit more worn than it should as well.
I'm really adamant about taking care of my MM ...
I feel the cover shouldn't have creased as much as it has.
It's gotten multiple treatments of Lexol & Leatherique.

Please keep in mind the seat parts ARE NOT stocking items from Ford and have to come from the "Vendor" (Made To Order)!!:cool4: Lead times for single orders can be a few weeks......If we order dozens at a time they just may not be able to supply??
I will call my dealer today and ask "What If" I order a dozen bottoms and a dozen back to see what he can find out......Stay tuned!!

I just talked to my FLM parts guy and he is checking on a dozen driver's side seat sets in each color to get an idea of lead times and pricing??
Am I gonna get a "Vacation" if I put this together for the group since I'm not a supporting "Vendor"??
Maybe not since I will make nothing on the deal if I can do it!!:shake:
Stay Tuned Folks!!:D

I ordered a drivers seat bottom from my local dealer. Ford list price $214.00 paid $172.06 with discount and took less than 10 days for delivery. Color dark charcoal with the map pockets.

My '04 driver's seat is showing the wear through spot neat the outboard opening for the hinge, although not fully worn through yet. The dealer is replacing the cover under warranty. Now I notice that the emblem on the driver's seat back is looking worn, so I will show that to the serivce manager when the seat bottom cover is being replaced.
