Hi guys and gals. I am pre-registered and prepaid for the SVTOA road track School at Gainesville this Saturday Dec. 16th 2006. I am not going to be able to make it. There are only 30 attendees as I understand it so there will be all the track time you can stand. This is at speed! I hate to waste the opportunity. There is no cost if anyone would like my spot. Shakes_26 and JimLam are going to be attending. Let me know ASAP if you want to go so that I can make the arrangements with SVTOA. PM me your email address and I will send you the registration form and Tech sheet. This is the same event that Sebring was last spring although Gainesville is a smaller track. Dennis:burnout:

Dennis,
You have no idea how much this means to me. I have been interested int hese types of schools since I got the Marauder. I have even checked with the local PD and Community College (who has a driving course) about being able to train with them. Sadly, time, children and money have always been issues.
I couldn't appreciate this opportunity more. I am literally shaking and can't wipe the ***** eatin' gin off my face. Folks here at work are wondering what my problem is!!!!!
Thank you thank you thank you!

Hey Santa Claus is REAL! His name is Dennis!!!!!! Merry Christmas to MEEEE!!!!
With Sincere THANX!!!!

You wanted video... you got it!
This video is 3 runs at SVTOA in GV, FL.
1st is 1st time out with instructor.
2nd is 2nd time out also with instructor. Got a little squirly and got off track a bit. Still learning braking+turning.
3rd is the last run. 1 minute flat!

I ran:
1:30ish first run
1:40 second (off track)
1:19
1:16
Then I got some advice from shakes...
1:08
1:04
1:02
1:03
1:00

Shakes best I saw was 58 and a couple hundreths. FastEddy's son ran 58.5! The course is super tight. No room for a S/C to show off. Fastest S/Ced stangs (instructors) with wide-arse Kumho's and massive neg. camber were runnin 47-49's.

I think my 1.5 second lag was on the big right curve (left hand side of the vid). I know I had more traction, but just wasn't up to it yet.

All in all I learned a lot. Thanx again, Dennis. Thanx 4 the advice, shakes, and good to see you Jim and Eddy.

Since you read this entire post, here's your reward!

Rich, looking good, those times are exactly what you want to see, dropping every time around.

I did a best of 58.06 and a couple runs at 58.1, 58.3, like you said not much room for the S/C to open up, and when it did it was slick as hell!!

The big 180 carousel at the far side of the track is where you cna make up a few seconds, I think I could drop 2+ over there, but man the car was soo loose with the KDWS (rears are low on tread) that I just didn't trust it.

JIm, Moroso has a road course track and it looks fairly nice, heard good and bad. Go figure. But if you want to come down and run an event with NASA your welcome to crash here...errrr stay here.
