View Full Version : Attention NEW SMYRNA LUCKY "13" DRIVERS

I was informed yesterday from a guy at work that on Wednesday nite Speed Channel about 730 to 8Pm , there was a show on small tracks across the country and on it it showed the New Symrna track---well, thats cool and all--but the real cool thing was , they show about an 8-10 second clip of cars going around it---guess who????????

YES --It was us on Nov 11th--YAHOO!!

My friend said if I hadn't told him about it and seen the pics, he would not have recognizes us --but he did --said we looked cool!!

Of course we knew that!!!!!!!! WTG " 13".............

I sure hope he was right with his observations!!

It was Wed. the 13th--check it--It was Pinks or American Motorcycle---prolly a commercial or an actual piece on the track--I believe they run motorcycles on that track--so it could be that one clip-----my friend is fairly confident it was us he saw.....--anyone know if that show or shows will be back on in the near future.......may be worth taping just to edit thru it to see .......Tom

You ain't just whistling Dixie, we could have totaled 13 MM in one wrong move. I mainly remember locking up the brakes after lap 5, wondering to myself "it's over already". I think we all have the same thought at one time or another, and that is, "Somewhere, somehow, in life we have to do that again."

Daytona Speedway: lookout, there will be Marauders on that track one day.

Your absolutly correct---without a doubt--I will always have those laps in my mind--no one can take that away--and Yes--we must do that again----the lucky "13" need to be the lead pack --the standard by which all should follow for proper safe fun------our "rules" were solid........to all --you are the best!!!--BTW--we had 15 --2 left early----wow- if they had only stayed---so who are the "13 "?...

I guess I'm somewhere in the middle towards the end, it was awesome thou.
Can't wait to see the footage on the DVD's, and possibly on the speed channel again.

DVJ5150 was our in car camera...So he makes 6....I think the people from Maryland decided not to participate and left early...I think stang from Texas was #7...

Oh yeah--I remember Jim--He is one of us for sure-----the res should post up--uh...believe Dave took down the names--or maybe Rich-----anyone know?

I was there and my car has the flying gravel scars to prove it. Don't think I would do it again just because of that.

Hi all,

I was number two on the inside (until the parade lap was over.) Then I flashed and passed after the five Supercharged Marauders jumped out front. Let me see...straightaway, right foot to the floor; turn, right foot on the brake; straightaway, right foot to the floor; turn, right foot on the brake; etc. (You get the picture.) "I'm givin' 'er all she's got, Captain!" I never could catch those supercharged cars, though. :)
