Well after reading up on brakes and rotors I saw that its a good idea to make sure all the lug nuts are torqued properly to help pervent rotor wrap. I took off each wheel, checked the pad and rotor and gave them a cleaning. Under inspection of my driver's rear brake I was looking around and saw some type of hose that was just behind the airbag and one side of it was connected to the top of the axle and the other end was not connected to anything. I also noticed that it looked like (overtime) something has discharged out of the hose and left a stain onto of the axle. I took a pic of it. I have no clue what it is, if it is something simple forgive me but it does highly concern me so I wanted to find out what it is right away so if it's a problem I can take care of it asap. Anyone know what this is and what it does?

It's the vent hose for the axle housing. It looks like some gear oil may have discharged. Have you had it changed or added fluid recently? Sometimes overfilling the axle will cause this...

No, the only fluid that has been changed within the past several months has been motor oil and transmission fluid.

Yep, I concur. As far as the discoloration, fumes will migrate, and unless there's a puddle, not to worry. :)

Like they said, it is just the Rear Axle vent hose. Might of been slightly overfilled form the factory, I wouldn't worry about it.
